Just more wonderful weather here, how did we get so lucky ? Nice morning walkabouts and a quick jaunt to the store in Forest home by 9 am , no where to go now for the day, just putter around. An early lunch then helped Gerry give their (new to them Trailer) a good wash, starting with the roof and all the way down, including the awning. It is only 4 years old but has never gone to far. They bought it and the pickup truck to tow it from a couple members here that decided to hang up their keys. He just had it all checked out, brakes, lights, new tires and and soon ready to go. They want to head south this winter, (first time with an rv) and are looking so forward to it. If we can help them out we will.
They have been checking things out and gave them a few pointers from our experience so they will be soon ready to go shortly after we head south.

Supper done and cooling down, we were invited to go to the clubhouse for "Lucky Thirteen" have never been but is a celebration of a few birthdays here in the park, Suzie has her's on Sunday but nobody knew. But heck guess we will go just for the fun of it. As if we need more fun? Life is short so we can make exceptions once in a while, if there is a celebration here in the park why not?
Head down about 7:40 and sat with Bob and Mary who we ave known for the 10 years (Bob is 88) we have been coming here. This "lucky Thirteen' is actually a pretty easy fun game cost $2:25 each(3 nickels, 3 dimes, 3 quarters and one dollar) to play and the winners can clean up pretty good. With the small crowd tonight the final winner won $22.00 and we actually enjoyed it. Not noisy and not competitive.

We celebrated the birthdays with a huge Cupcake cake and a glass of wine. What a fun time. Finally home just before 10 pm finish up this posting and call it a night. After 3 busy days here, wow, looking for some quiet ones soon, maybe after the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by again.

Mrs. F.G. Has a birthday on Sunday too! The big one.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Mr's F.G. Suzie celebrating a big one too !
DeleteSounds like a great celebration. We have never heard of Lucky Thirteen. We just learned how to play a new game called 5 Crowns. Easy and fun card game.
ReplyDeleteLucky thirteen is a fun game each player in a group of 4 people gets 13 cards. Kinda like Bingo each hand gets a winner and wins all the cash per hand weather it be nickels, dimes, quarters of $1.00 .
Deleteany reason to celebrate is a good reason and there is cake and wine, all the better!
ReplyDeleteYup that sure did it for us and right here in the park, was fun.
DeleteI agree with Patsy Irene.... celebrate for any reason... but for sure I'm wishing Suzie a great birthday celebration on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon, I think a quiet celebration is her preference.
DeleteI like playing cards. We don't seem to have many other friends who enjoy playing cards anymore. Looks like another great get together for you.
ReplyDeleteWe like to play cards occasionally with one other couple for fun, not so much in a group.
