Where are we today ?

Lotsa rain overnight then on and off most of the day, just like the weather gods predicted. So we had planned a meal in our slow cooker today. And it is a venison stew. We were gifted some venison (bambi) from our good friends at Galvin Bay on our last day there. Pat and Norm. She supplied us with her recipe and even the ingredients. What a fantastic woman Pat is and a supper couple we have known them for over 10 years.I got this going by 9 am in the slow cooker on low all day long. While this was happening I played with my Mac Book pro trying to free up hard drive space for most of the rest of the day. Was overcast, cool and drizzly anyway so a good day for it. I made some progress but not enough. Back to the drawing board another day.
Then about 3:30 the sun came out. Perfect time to get away from my computer and head outside to enjoy some afternoon sunshine and fresh air.

The stew looks delicious and perfect for a fall day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larry it was wonderful.
DeleteSuzie looks like she is in deep thought in the one photo. Looks like a philosopher. Bet she has never been called that before.
ReplyDeleteI think you are referring to Melinda with her hand on her chin.
DeleteDinner looks delicious. I'll be making ribs in the slow cooker today. Good luck with the Mac.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter it was very tasty, ribs in the slow cooker are wonderful too.
DeleteMade great headway with my Mac today, looking good.
Love using the slow cooker. It's rare to have something not done perfectly. We're not venison fans but your stew does look good.
ReplyDeleteThis Venison was amazing no wild taste and so tender and lean. If cooked properly it is wonderful.
DeleteI'm impressed that your weather gods actually got the prediction right. I don't have much faith in them down here in the states. :c(
ReplyDeleteThey did get it right we like that too when it happens. When travelling ya never know.
DeleteYou are my kind of people; food, dogs, and RVs.
ReplyDeleteThanks DD this is our lifestyle and we enjoy it, Simple and easy...
