Where are we today ?
Must be adjusting to the time zone, actually slept until 5:30 this morning, thats about my normal wake up time. Well the weather gods were pretty well right on with their predictions, below freezing this morning and began to snow at 7 am on my first walkabout. Very dark stormy skies and winds 25mph plus. So we did a bit of discussing where we going from here on Monday, but still nothing written in stone, lots of options. Then a quick trip to Edgewood NM for a few groceries, only light snow but high winds, glad we were not in the coach travelling today.
A bite for lunch and another walkabout, stopped at the library here in the park and exchanged a couple dvds. Then watched another action Movie this afternoon. Returned it and got another for our library. Done by 3 pm and the sun came out, nice blue skies and still a bit windy only 40f. The sun was nice though.
For supper I thawed out a pork loin roast and was going to do it in the oven. But by 3:30 blues skies and the wind died down. So I preheated up our Weber Q and set the roast on to grill about 4 pm was done shortly after 5 and even grilled a cored apple with cinnamon. Got to finish another book while the roast was cooking. And again a tasty salad we had another wonderful meal. Lotsa leftovers for Suzie's lunch sandwiches.
Pretty nice out now at 4 o'clock but still only 35f |
our Weber performed flawlessly again |
what a great way to wind up the day |
Always something for us to do, the next few days promise to be clear skies, less wind and sunny, temps in high 50s maybe more, will be awesome.
Glad that you took the time to stop by and you can make a comment if you are so inclined.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..
Brrrr! Glad it warmed up for the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteDid not get that warm but the snow was gone and the sun shining.
DeleteWe've often thought about New Mexico for the winter, but there is obviously too much chance for that kind of cold and we're not prepared to put up with that.

Always and chance of snow in the higher elevations where we are is 6,3000 ft so not surprized.
DeleteNicest day of fall here, 21C or higher and sunny. Gorgeoud weather for November! Sorry about your snow!
ReplyDeleteYes you guys are really enjoying some wonderful weather lately.
DeleteIt is warmer here in Michigan, but I know that in the long run you will have the warmer winter. I enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks Faye, it will be a better winter than back home. We just take it as it comes.
DeleteWe are 26F tonite but heading to -2F with the wind chill tomorrow :((
ReplyDeleteGotta keep going further south like we will be doing.
DeleteNice touch, listing your location at the beginning of each post. Unfortunately, most bloggers don't realize how helpful this is to the reader. Still enjoying your inclusion of cooking tips and recipes; I'm using my Q more, now that you've shown what all you can cook on it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike I have read a lot of blogs, and try to figure out where about they are in the country maybe something we would like to check out there.
DeleteSo much can be done on your Q, I love it.
Yikes! That's a bit chilly! We are heading west next Tuesday, but staying further south...
ReplyDeleteWe heading further south too, thought we might stop here for a bit and chance the weather. At least we not travelling in it !
Delete"we did a bit of discussing where we going from here on Monday" - judging from your first pic, I'm thinking south seems like a good idea :-)
ReplyDeletehaha, south is definitely in the plan, have a few things we want to see and do along the way, hopefully no more pics like the first one.
DeleteYes, your map of where you are is a great idea... even though I'm guilty of not stating where we're at in every blog I do appreciate that in others.
ReplyDeleteWe like it, tells family and friends where we are. and a great reference for us in the future as well.
DeleteWe're actually sweltering with record temps here in Tampa and the snow looks wonderful to me! I like a little cool weather, but only if I know I'll be heading to warmer climates soon.
ReplyDeleteWe will be heading to warmer soon as well, so it not really too bad. Could be a lot worse.
DeleteWell, you know how warm it has been in southern Ontario....but to see snow in Arizona, New Mexixo or even Southern California, at high elevations, is not unusual. When are you heading for the low elevation desert?
ReplyDeleteYep we realize that, just wanted to stop here for a while. Leave here Monday and slowly work our way further south.
DeleteSnow is definitely not on my bucket list. Sure glad that stuff didn't last.
ReplyDeleteNot on ours either, but at least its gone now.
DeleteSnow? You need to get moving into warm weather territory before you get struck again.
ReplyDeleteGonna be nice for a while here yet, this was just a blip.
DeleteI agree with Mike Mills. It's nice to post where you are. I've missed reading the blogs a couple of days in a row and then try to figure out where people are.
ReplyDeleteI have found that that's another reason why I do that.
