Where are we today ?
A bit cooler this morning so shortly before 8 am, I hopped in the car to Strathroy. Minute Muffler there does emissions tests that need to be done every 2 years before we can renew the license tags for our vehicles. No appointment needed here, So was taken right in and done in 20 minutes, plus I got a free coffee ($34.00 another tax grab) .We did pass the E-Test so good to go for another couple years. Not bad considering our 2002 Saturn has 202,000 kms (125,000 miles on it).Picked up a few things in town and home by 10 am. Putter around for a while enjoyed a light lunch then proceeded to wax the passenger side of our coach, Just over and hour it takes. Still looking pretty good for an old girl.
Chatted with a few people around here and visited our friend Al in town, he put a new end on our 50 ft satellite cable for us. Thanks Al.
Now can relax for a bit and enjoy our e-readers before time to whip up supper. Was gonna make a pizza but did not feel like getting into that today. So after looking at Contessa's meal the other day, thought the Tuna steaks done on our Weber Q would do the trick. Got them in the freezer so why not?
Tuna steaks on the BBQ click here or check my recipe blog at the top right sidebar. Excellent again and even enough leftover for a tuna sandwich too.
Grill zucchini for a minutes then put the Tuna on |
3 mins per side for Suzie |
2 mins per side, the way I like it |
Thanks for taking a peak and I just know you had a great day!
We have a tentative day for leaving Ontario on our Winter Journey, cause we got back into Ontario so early this year , we can also leave early.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.
From my tuna to your tuna :) I have never cooked tuna on the BBQ but we will do so very soon, thanks for the detailed instructions on your link. How hot do you have the BBQ to start with?
ReplyDeleteI have a Weber Q 100, no temperature gauge, I have never needed one.
DeleteI preheat the grill on high 15 minutes turn to low and set the Tuna on the grill, timing is critical.
I'll give it a try.
DeleteI have never had a tuna steak. I know I can't stand canned tuna. I hate the smell.
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed these Tuna steaks since we eat less red meat now, rare like this just melts in the mouth and did not notice any fishy smell if it is fresh.
DeleteI was about to offer my condolences when I heard your car passed. LOL. I love those tuna steaks and will take mine done two minutes each side please! Also, you have inspired me to go buy some of your wax and give the Tioga a wax job!
ReplyDeleteThe wax is wonderful, but make sure you have no oxidization on your coach first.
DeleteIf you head south that early you'd have to be back in Ontario by the end of February.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
We are not heading south until late October, so can still come back in April.
DeleteIt's fun to plan the winter travels. Hopefully you won't have to return so early on this next trip.
ReplyDeleteThe p[lans are coming together, sure hope we not returning early.
DeleteOnly in Ontario would a person immediately know exactly what you're referring to when you say, "Our car passed!"
ReplyDeleteSuch a joke, and like you said, a "tax grab".
Enjoy your day.
Yep you right, but gotta do it if we want to drive our vehicles.
DeleteMaybe our paths will cross, when you head south. We're near Pittsburgh right now but headed to Goshen.
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice but not this fall, we heading west before we go south. Maybe in the southwest this winter.
DeleteIt wasn't another tax grab, it was an expensive cup of coffee! :cD
ReplyDeleteYep that too!
