Where are we today ?
Monday in a campground, we love it. All the weekenders left yesterday but this campground is different than most. People were lined up to come in here all day today? Filling up more sites. No problem we here until Thursday then we outta here.Thought we might do some local stuff today but Suzie is quite happy just to hang out here and catch up on a few things. Considering we have very good free wifi so may as well take advantage of it right?
I just ran a few errands this morning and back home for lunch, then picked up a wash permit for our RV $10.00. Wanted to give our coach, especially the roof a very good cleaning. Last time I had noticed we had some mould growing on our metal roof and needed to spend some time to correct that issue. Perfect day for it too. Temps in the high 60's f and mostly overcast, does not get much better for this project. Rv all done, about 3 hours today but now we are good to go.
Another walkabout and relax for a while with our e-readers. Gotta have time to relax, read and have a cold one, right?
Now time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple pollock fillets with the beer batter fish crisp. In our cast iron pan on the Weber Q. Very tasty but I found that doing it on the Weber probably not consistently hot enough to make the batter real crispy. It tasted very good though, no problem there. Next time I will either use our Fry Daddy or Camp stove and see how that works.
hey still did the job |
a very tasty fish supper we had |
We soon be on the road, not of relaxing days then so we enjoy them while we can.
Thanks for stopping by again hope you had a wonderful Monday too.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.
Paul just did our roof for the second time this summer. We park it in our backyard and there are trees that overhang it. Sounds like the temps were perfect for a little dirty work.
ReplyDeleteYep it was a perfect day here too..
DeleteI usually do ours 5-6 times a year but this years has ben all screwed up for us.
Suzie has been pushing herself with her parents plus getting over her cold. She needs to just relax.
ReplyDeleteWe can relax all she wants, no problem here. We will be busy enough from now till spring.
DeleteNice to have some down time! Weather sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe down time is nice and like you said the weather awesome, though personally would like a but more heat.
Deletehmm. that fish supper looks good.
ReplyDeleteLove fish, it was very tasty.
DeleteYour days here are numbered, guys! I'm sure you are looking forward to getting on the road too as much as you enjoy the relaxing now. We had tilapia loins in fish crisp last night too with home made french fries. Yum those new potatoes make the flavour so nice deep fried!
ReplyDeleteYes we are so anxious to get on the road again.
DeleteA clean RV is a happy RV! :c)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah it sure is.
DeleteThat fish sure looks good... yummy! Now I'm feeling guilty... I've needed to get up on our roof and clean the vents and fan blades (easier from the outside looking in).... I think we're heading out next week and I still don't have it done. Maybe I'll just read the food parts of your blog for a while ;-)
ReplyDeleteI will probably do the vents and fans as well.
DeleteEnjoy the food.
Living your dream and being productive on the same day is quite a feat. Enjoy yourselves first .... that's the best rule.
