Once again another beautiful, warm morning, coffees, computing and walkabout the ponds before securing our coach to move on down the road.
a nice view of the resort
We are not going far today, actually only 20 miles down the road heading west to another membership park in Robert LA. Passport to Leisure (Yogi Bear's Jelly Stone Park) never been her so lets check it out.
20 miles down the road
It was a nice drive along some good roads and we arrived there about 11 am. We sure are glad its off season, here. It is definitely set up for younger families, with all the Yogi Bear themes and activities available for the summer months.
Welcome
And Yogi Bear there to great us!
We checked in with the friendly staff, and setup up on a nice pull thru site with a cement parking pad and patio.
nice campsite
As we were was setting up or satellite dish the neighbour came over to chat and get acquainted. He, his wife and daughter have been on the road for 9 years working the Renaissance Festivals all over the USA which just happens to be only a few miles from here every saturday and sunday for the month of November, we plan on going this weekend.
All set up and found it quite hot and humid, they have a pool here but like most resorts we have found in the southern Louisiana they don't heat it in the winter, so we relaxed in the shade with our books after such a long day of travel, the heat, humidity and time change has kinda slowed us down. A quick trip to the Robert Supermarket check out the locals and picked up come chicken thighs for supper, a huge package of 12, more than enough for two meals with leftovers for less than five dollars.
Then soon time fire up our Weber for some baked potatoes, grilled chicken thighs, with broccoli and corn for a substantial tasty supper.
yummy
The problem now with daylight savings time is it gets dark too soon I had to get out the flashlight to finish off cooking supper at 5:30pm. Guess I am going to have to start cooking sooner.

One day we will be able to do just what you are doing, travel a little and stop a while. Right now we are hurtling along the I10 through New Mexico. Staying tonight at a PA campground in Willcox, AZ to fill, flush and dump and to do some clutter control in the MoHo. Also to catch up on blogging!
Yummy! You cook THE BEST chicken thighs EVER!!!
