Wed. Sept 14th. A nice fall Day.

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Not much happening these days as we put in time until we head south, but we always manage to keep busy, planning, cleaning and enjoying the end of summer weather.

A nice bright morning and the temperature is rising from 10c (50f) to eventually a high of 22c (70f), so after coffees, computing and walkabouts putter around. I started with the mini blind over our kitchen sink. We don't use it much but have noticed it was getting quite dirty. All the other blinds have been removed, washed and restrung a few times but never this one. Kinda awkward to get at but I managed to get it and the valance down. I am sure they have never been cleaned before (12 years) so it was a good thing we did.

After this I returned the steam cleaner to the hardware store, picked up a few groceries and back home. A couple of rver's we met at Rock Glen were here and stopped by for a visit, nice see them again, its been over one year, chat and catchup for a while. Then a walkabout the resort we stopped to visit another couple Ron and Tammy to see how they are doing, eventually making it back home to relax and read in the warm sun for a while.

Soon time to fire up the barbie and today I am going to grill an eye of the round roast beef. So after preparing the roast with spices and preheating the grill I seared it to seal in the juices then slow roast it on the grill for 90 minutes (med rare) along with a few potatoes, add some corn off the cob, fresh tomatoes and a garlic cheese bun we had a tasty supper.

yummy
After supper we are finding it cools down too quickly to sit outside, so inside we read, compute and watch a bit of tv.

Why not just head south now?

Nice looking roast, I gotta try doing that on the grill.

  3. I guess if you don't do Christmas here you have to do Thanksgiving. In our case it's the business holding us back but also our weather is still great.
