Fri. Sept.23rd First Day of Fall.

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Funny how the weather can be so strange from one day to the next. Thursday the last day of summer was a perfect summer day, sunny, hot , blue skies even a warm summer evening. Today is the first day of fall and its very cool, overcast skies and drizzly weather off and on.

This morning our friend Karen came over for morning coffees and brought a very fresh, tasty chelsea bun to share for breakfast. She came to visit yesterday on her day off from work but has to go back in this morning to sell a few more Rv's at Owasco Rv centre.

After a tasty breakfast, coffees and fun conversation, then promising to get together at least next year, she packed up her coach and hit the road. The rest of the day we puttered around researching and then in the afternoon sat outside for a bit to read and chat with neighbor Mary for a while until it was too cool and damp.

Then its time to get back inside, warm up a bit, fire up the barbie to grill a stuffed pork chop, small baked potato, with some left over whipped potatoes, broccoli and tomato slices for a very tasty supper, on the first day of fall.

I am sure we will have a few more nice days yet before we head south in search of warm winter weather.

  1. First day of fall here was 31C. So far only 28C this afternoon with a forecast high of 30C. Amazing for this time of year.
