Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
since August 2006
It was cool overnight 4c (40f) sure good for sleeping under a pile of blankets, but its that time of year and as long as the sun is shining during the day its not too bad. Our campsite is nice, gets lots of sun and shade even the neighbours are quiet so all is good here.
our spot
Morning coffee, computing, walkabouts and thinking about todays projects. Oh yeah Suzie tells me its a laundry day so with I decide to take it to the laundromat in Lakefield a short drive south of here. With the high speed machines there I can wash and dry three loads in 45 minutes for not a lot more money, than the campground, which would take 3 hours total, only two machines here. Plus pick up a few groceries at the same time. Next to the laundry is the Lakefield Farmer's Market on thursdays until Oct. 6 th from 10 am till 4pm.
Lakefield Farmers Market
This was so convenient, while waiting for the wash I strolled around the market picking up a fresh sticky bun, fresh made perogies, garlic cheese curds and three huge farm fresh tomatoes, everything looked so good. After all this was done back home to find Larry had stopped by to chat for a while and catch up until time for lunch.
Then after, we checked with the office on the status of next years camping availability then walked and drove the resort marking sites on the map that would be suitable for us to park on. So far it has been a pretty sunny day so we found a sunny spot and were able to sit outside and read for the balance of the afternoon.
As the clouds rolled in around 5 o'clock, things cooled down,so inside we go to cook supper. Tonight's a hot beef sandwich with homemade gravy, creamy whipped potatoes, peas and fresh tomato slices, perfect for a cool evening.
tasty supper
Then a relaxing evening, computing, reading and a bit of tv all snuggled warm inside.
