since August 2006
Again a cool morning, 5c (40f) but in a few minutes our furnace makes us toasty warm, then as the sunrises it takes over. A beautiful sunny day is in store for us and it's wonderful enjoying our morning coffees, watching the news, checking email, the trees and scenery all around us.
After morning walkabouts and a late breakfast we took a very scenic 20 minute drive to Bobcaygeon. Cruise around town, the lift lock and check out the area where I spent many weekends many, many years ago. Always amazing how so much has changed and yet so much is still the same. We did notice while on the road there was a bit more traffic than the rest of the week, cottage country this is for sure, even the grocery store had about 25 cars in the parking lot compared to two or three we have seen all week.
Now back home early afternoon and the sunshine is really warming up our site, so now shorts, t- shirt and our books enjoying as much of this nice weather as we can. A few campers came in for the weekend but generally pretty quiet. Our neighbors dropped by to chat for a while and enjoy a happy our with us before time to fire up our Weber to grill a couple of chicken breasts on a fresh kaiser bun, juicy tomatoes and french fries made in our Fry Daddy.
