Sun. Sept. 4th, More fun!

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Now after thunderstorms overnight its still drizzling this morning and overcast all day. We are having company for lunch and I wanted a couple of items at the Pinery Flea market. So a quick trip for  new pair of sunglasses and some of my favorite pepperettes then back home to get ready for, my daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren to arrive.

Luckily the rain and stopped for a while so we are able to play outside and get ready for a hot dog lunch with all the trimmings.

Lunch time
After lunch the playground is calling so we are off for a swing always lots of fun.

And then I asked them if they wanted to see where the Rock Glen Giant lived and of course they were excited. So over to behind the playground we went to his trailer ( Mike and Trish's trailer) but he was not home, his chair was there so of course they had to try it out, all the time speculating how tall this giant was, luckily he was at work today.

After the giant mystery we headed down to the mini golf for to play 18 holes.
we going golfing
Well mini golf with real young ones can take a while with so many interesting things to explore, like trying to open the door of this little house, even my keys did not work, but we did finish our game.

Now after this exciting golf game the boys needed to cool off so off they rush to the indoor pool with Dad, while myself and the girls stayed on site to chat for a while. After the swim, we have a snack and they are back on the road heading another 2 1/2 hours for their home. Sure is nice to have a visit with family and three of our grandchildren even if it was a short  busy one.

Once they were gone we tidied up a bit, relaxed with our books for a while, chatted with a neighbor then cooked up a very tasty supper of pickerel and yellow perch fillets with a rice pilaf.
oh so good
The after supper we were invited to join out neighbors campfire and chat with a bunch of them for a while until time to call it another great day in our busy retired lives.

  1. What a great grandparent you are. I have no such memories from my childhood but I'm sure these little ones will always remember you.
