Up nice and early enjoying the warm morning weather. Not sunny but warm. No problem We just hanging out finished up the rest of our packing and headed on out down I-45 to the Galveston cruise ship terminal to board for the cruise at 1 pm. Easy quick drive right through Houston. We were early so checked out the beach for a bit.
Then made our way to the terminal dropped off our luggage parked the car and took the shuttle back to the ship. Went through the check in process and were able the get our room at 1:30.

we had packed a lunch so enjoyed it sitting here by the beach until time to board the ship |
We wandered about for a while trying to figure out where we were and located to everything. Did the orientation life boat drill at our Muster station. Then checked out a few more places on the ship down by the pool (but not a good pool day) the decided time for supper.

Wow, Nice. Looks like a great way to spend a week. Kelly
ReplyDeleteYeah Kelly a nice change of pace, lotsa great food and different places.
DeleteWhat is the deal with the internet? Cost?
ReplyDeleteThe internet $71.00 for the week, good anywhere on the ship we can bth use it but only one device at a time. And pretty fast too, no video, streaming or Skype if you want that costs more.
DeleteExpensive, but cheaper than I thought it would have been!
DeleteCheaper that it was on our last cruise.
DeleteLooks like a great place to be! Balcony and all. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fun place, and the balcony a bonus.

ReplyDeleteThanks guys we are really enjoying it.
DeleteHope your trip is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheri we sure will have a great time.
DeleteGreat to see my old stomping grounds of Galveston. I lived between Galveston and Houston from 1946 to 2002. It has changed considerably. Have fun on the high seas.
ReplyDeleteYes it has changed I am sure even since we were first here about 10 years ago.
DeleteWOW .... nice room and a king size bed? and a balcony? I want to go on THAT cruise line!! Awesome-sauce!!! Have fun!!! Sure had changed since I was on a cruise last.
ReplyDeleteIt is very nice the balcony a bonus too. Not as much free food but still lotsa choices.
DeleteWhat do you mean? Do they no longer provide three meals per day?
DeleteThere is 3 meals a day but for very limited times a lot more pay restaurants than their used to be and the food not as good as I remember but this was only our first day.
DeleteSome of our cruises have been better than others, but we’ve never had a bad cruise.
ReplyDeleteWe have never had a bad cruise either and like you said some are better than others
DeleteGlad you have internet..this will be fun to follow along with you on the trip! Not a bad price either. Your room is absolutely beatutiful and that balcony!! Food looks awesome! Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have the internet and not too bad of a price either. The food very tasty.
DeleteWe look forward to following along :-) We hope you both have a great time.
ReplyDeleteThanks glad you here with us, and will sure have a great time.

DeleteNice ship. Have a great cruse and don't get sea sick.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice and we enjoy cruising , no seasick issues here.
DeleteNow that is a great way to travel, especially with a balcony view. We always get a balcony when we cruise, it adds so much fun to the adventure. :c)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to travel and explore , our first Balcony and loving it !
DeleteHave fun on your Honeymoon!!
ReplyDeleteThank we sure are !
DeleteWhat fun! Looking forward to the photos. Enjoy every moment.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fun way to travel and enjoy.
DeleteThe last time I was on a ship like that was in 1965. From Rotterdam, Netherlands to Halifax, Nove Scotia. It took 12 days and all we could see was fog. I think we might go on a cruise some day…
ReplyDeleteNot a great weather day here today but will be clearing up.
DeleteWell, this is a change for George and Suzie! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYes FG it has been a while since we have been on a cruise. Always fun times.
DeleteWow this is exciting. I feel I know that boat ship so well as a you tube friend has recently done a few videos of the Carnival. I recognised that centre spike thing. I hope you will be blogging on the way.
ReplyDeleteYes Anna it is exciting and fun, we are enjoying this ship and the cruise. Glad to have you along.
DeleteLooks like a nice ship, enjoy it. Hope you get a chance in the pool and hot tub.
