Cloudy, drizzly day , but did get things done.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Much cooler last night was great for sleeping with the windows open and under the covers. Up earlier than usual but did manage to read in bed for a while before getting out of bed at 4 am, For me that is acceptable, (not everyone though).
Got my computing done early and enjoying the wonderful early morning sunrise about 5:50 am with an amazing bright red sky.
a real treat this morning
Today is much colder, not much more than the 55F and over cast pretty well all day. But I did get a few short walkabouts here (only 2.2 miles)  and then puttered around for a while inside and out and a nice light lunch. Attempted to read outside for a bit after lunch, but just found it too chilly with no sunshine.
Took a nice back country drive for a bit in areas I have not yet explored. Over to Hungry Hollow just to check it out. So peaceful and quiet there as well. Love this part of southern Ontario.
a nice log cabin hidden back here in the Hollow
love the blossoms on this tree
So back home I headed down to the wonderful fitness centre for a nice work out for a about an hour (warmed me up nicely). Got home and our friend Loree had dropped by for us to help her load some books to her KOBO (e-reader). An older version than mine but we did figure it out and showed her how to do it. No problem too cold to play outside so may as well do something constructive inside.
some nice Tulips on this one empty site
I had finished a good page turner early this morning and dove right into another new Author  for me. Recommended by Suzie so I know it will be good, and it is !
We did manage to get some reading done inside and because we knew the weather was not great today and it was Friday, decided to order one of Sue's excellent Pizzas from the Country Corner in Arkona. She has a nice small Cafe', gift shop, and Post Office all in one. Good food at reasonable prices. At nice treat for us. Pizza just like I used to make. We ordered a meat lover's Pizza added fresh tomatoes, black olives and hot peppers on MY half . This does the trick, she builds a great pizza so we will have leftovers. No problem makes for a nice lunch.
Country Cafe
fresh and hot right out of the oven
yes this took care of our Pizza craving
Then a walk to take our garbage and recycle out and back home, drizzling again, and much colder and damp. Now inside for the night, wrap up this posting and catch a movie for 7 pm that Suzie has chosen. And if I can stay awake or not we will head to bed at 9 pm as usual.
Thanks for dropping by and hope you had a warmer spring day than we did. Soon be much better here with summer on it's way

    1. We can always find things to do inside on the yucky days.
A good pizza is a nice treat once in a while that we enjoy.. Maybe a pizza for you and hamburger for Bill would work?

    1. Thanks guys it sure was a nice way to start the day. Hungry Hollow is a small sleep community and the old barn beside the log cabin so nice to see. Sue makes a great pizza , just the way I did way back when, no scrimping on the toppings.
