Happy Mother's Day !!!
After another great night's sleep got up and about computing, coffees done, shorts on and heading out for my first walkabout at 6:30. Had my hoody on but the sun warming things up nicely. Just after 7 am made my way to the clubhouse to volunteer to help with the Mother's Day Breakfast, just because I can and enjoy working in the Kitchen. Brings back memories of my 10 years having fun cooking. Mind you it has been a while, closed the restaurant back in 1999 after 10 years of way too many hours and not enough money.This breakfast here at Rock Glen Resort is free to all the mother's here in the park. But being the weekend before our long weekend not very many people here. Probably fed 30 or so people (5 dozen eggs) from 8 am until 10 am, with help here from Mike doing the Ham and home fries and Dorothy making the toast, the other ladies taking orders and what ever else needs to be done. All I had to do was cook the eggs to order. Not a problem this grill was not mine but we got it done and no complaints that I heard of anyway.

Now still outside wrapping up this posting after 8 pm and still in shorts 65F (18C) What more can we ask for? I actually managed 2.5miles walked today. not sure where I went but got my exercise in.

DeleteIf I need an inspiration for dinner I just need to go to your blog. There is always something yummy cooking on the grill. What a wonderful gesture from the RV park to invite all mothers to a free breakfast.

DeleteJeu do the Mother's Day free every year as well as the Father's Day breakfast. And quite often they do a free pancake breakfast for everyone in the park.
