Very warm again last night windows open, fantastic fan going and a great sleep. With the later sunsets we going to bed a bit later and sleeping in a bit later at 5;30 am the sun was shining in our bedroom window, awesome ! Darn missed a nice sunrise.
But did get our coffees taken care of and a nice walk about town for a couple of miles. Then I went to a seamstress in Bright to have a pair of pants hemmed, Got this suit from my son in law over a year ago for my mom's funeral when we flew home in January from Yuma AZ. He is much taller than me but this fits me and was going to the thrift store, just like new! A very nice suit better than any of my old ones. So this lady here can do a nice job and it will be good to go for a wedding we have in Niagara Falls New York this weekend.
Right after the seamstress, I was back home to pick up Suzie and head to Stratford Ontario , only 1/2 hour away. Visitation at a funeral home for the father of some good friends, fellow rver's and bloggers. Bill (his Father) and Patsy. For 10 am. We also saw our good friends Rob and Pat there as well from Durham Ontario. We could not stay for the following funeral service, Suzie had an appointment at a clinc here in Stratford at 11:40 am.
That taken care of we back home for a light lunch and then Suzie picked up her dad at 1:45 to take him to Kitchener for some more tests. While she was gone I hopped on the mower to finish cutting the rear couple of acres here.

I always prefer the shade and light breeze to air conditioner any day!!
ReplyDeleteYou got a great deal on that suit!!
That’s a lot of grass to mow but it looks nice all green and mowed!!
We do not like the a/c either shade works for us.
DeleteIt is a lot of grass to mow but free camping, almost and so peaceful is worth it
I sure like being outside, but hot is hot. I agree with Suzi 80+ is not sleeping weather! Perch were plentiful in the lakes/ponds growing up in Washington,we had them often. Still brings back fond memories of fishing in the potholes. BTW the meat is firm enough to make a decent fish taco.
ReplyDeleteLove being outside too, but nice to have it a bit cooler for sleeping.
DeleteThis perch is very tasty and yes would make some good fish tacos, yummy
Crikey ..... it's good to see you are still traipsing around. How Tucker doing? Do you still run into him occasionally?
ReplyDeleteYes Charlie we sure are, nice o hear from you again, glad you are not lost.Tucker is doing very well , we will be seeing him next week again.
DeleteWOW you finished mowing for a couple days. You fish fry looks really good. At least it cools down at night but I can see Suzi's point to cool it down inside for sleeping. By Sunday we will be at 107F not happy about that
ReplyDeleteShould be good for a few more days. WE do love a good fish fry, Still quite warm but ok for sleeping now.
Delete107 is pretty hot , time for you to head north soon.
Nice post. I enjoyed it all - the fish, the book on your Kobo, the yard mowing (wow - that is a lot to mow) and the map. We know some of that area with son's in-laws living in Petrolia. Been to the area you show on the map, so that is fun. Our late daughter-in-law went to university at St. Catherines.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping in again Randy. Glad you enjoyed this posting.
DeleteThis is our home area where we have spent most of our lives,
I have to agree with Suzie, those temps sure wouldn't let me sleep! A busy morning you both had. Yard looks gorgeous, and your dinner looked perfect for a hot day1
ReplyDeleteIt cooled down nicely to sleep, but did warm up during the night again. It was a busy day ,but then relaxed with a tasty supper.
DeleteWow ... it's getting hot there! I love loved Niagara Falls! One of these days I'll make it back there. So much to see and do. Be sure and get pictures of you in a suit!!! LOL
