        We are really enjoying this weather, have I said that before? I think so, This is why we are here. Got a couple of nice walkabouts this morning enjoy the warm weather in the desert and the sunrise.

     Then my first walkabout revealed and nice sunrise and clear blue cloudless skies with no wind.

      At 9:30 this morning we headed into the Arizona Market Place. With Bill and Patsy , Bill driving today. Because we all enjoy it here and may as well ride together.

    We separated and agreed to meet at 11:30 this way we can wander as we like.

     Lots of vendors and just about anything you might want is here.

I did buy some socks here 2 packs for $5.00 that is 6 pairs of very nice socks !

      This vendor below has awnings, dash covers,  window and sunshades , very reasonable and most sizes in stock.

       Back home by noon for a light lunch and a few more walkabouts , opened our awning and set up our sunscreen. Then we can both dive into our page turners on our E-readers.

we not complaining though

       I got an email from some blog followers the other day and they would like meet us if possible, They are from Buckeye AZ and will be in Algodones today. They have been following our blog for years as well and Patsy and Bills. My reply is heck why not, drop by and say hi we always enjoy meeting blog followers.

       We are outside reading anyway, enjoying this weather so drop on by we will be home this afternoon.

    They wanted to meet Bill , Patsy and Clemson as well. Heck they are next door so Suzie sent them a text and they joined us as well. Bill is getting over his cold slowly so he visited for a while then back home to get better.

Well we all hit it off and had some great conversation, for a few minutes,
(lol almost 120 minutes)
but time just flies when we are having fun!
No problem we are here for the duration anyway.

now though not needed they brought us some nice new Ball Caps,
from where Frank worked
and some  Date Almond Rolls and Date coconut rolls 
from Datreland Arizona

     Soon time for supper , Suzie's choice tonight was hotdog and homemade fries.

     Then as this was about done we got to enjoy another wonderful desert sunset.

      A nice ending to yet another great day here in the southwest. Enjoyed the market with friends, picked  up some deals and meeting new blog followers.

Where have we been this winter ?

Hanging out, chatting with friends, enjoying the weather and nice FaceTime video chat with family.

    Just another day in Paradise. Up early as usual and first walkabout at 6:30 this morning after coffee and computing for a while. Yes it is still dark out but in the campground there is a few lights that help mark the way. So nice and quiet at this time of day.
    Back home for another coffee chat with Suzie for a while discuss our day then another walkabout to catch a bit of the sunrise.

     Then a walkabout the desert for a while as well, sure do love the desert.

           Then at 9:30 it was getting warm so we decided a good time to pack away our Christmas decorations for another year. Got that all done and enjoyed  light early lunch, Soon time for the hot sun on our Patio. The awning was opened and our sunshade hooked up, helps keep everything a bit cooler. Did get up to 89f (31C) with only 10 % humidity so in the shade was very comfortable for most of the afternoon.

          About 2:30 we managed to hook up with daughter number one and enjoy a wonderful vide FaceTime chat with her, SIL, and 3 of our grandchildren . As we know they all had a very busy Christmas with families and sports for the grands, hockey for both boys and our granddaughter as well.. But we were able to finally connect. So nice to see them all there, smiling faces, thank you's for the Christmas gifts and family updates. Gotta love today's technology !
       Then shortly after 3 over to Bill and Patsy's for Happy hour. Bill is feeling a bit better today after being under the weather last night.

       Back home to whip up supper, Thawed couple of cod fillets , preheat our Weber Q and made a salad.

    Then I even had to begin another book as our fish was cooking on the grill.

after yesterdays feast we really enjoyed and needed this light tasty meal

      Now what a better way to wind up a sunny desert day than with another desert sunset, we never get tired of these, hope you don't.

         No plans today, just because we can relax , get some walking done a few chores, more quality reading. chat with a few people, enjoy Happy Hour, another tasty, light supper and of course a colorful desert sunset.  Finished posting this outside just before 8 pm and still about 64 f , really gotta love this weather!

    Another perfect mild night again about 52f at 5am. Think we can enjoy that. I wanted a few groceries so just before 8 am I made a quick trip to the Del Sol in Yuma, easy in and easy out back here by 8:30 no traffic and no crowds just the way I like it.
    Got a few walkabouts this morning chatted, with a few people including Bill and Dee, Bill is heading back to Mexico for his crown today, hope all that goes well for him.

 with Suzie back in shorts, partly in the shade too!

      At about 12:30 we went to Lin's Grand Buffet in Yuma for our favourite Chinese buffet. With Bill, Patsy, Roger and Sue. Only about a 20 minute drive so we got there at 1 pm after most of the lunch rush but still busy, no lineup really just a few minutes to pay 2 seniors for lunch with water $19.00 for good deal considering the choices of great tasty fresh food they have. We have been here many times over the years and never been disappointed. This is  must for us when we are in the area.

     We were seated right away our drink orders taken immediately and away we went to attack the buffet. Today we did not have breakfast, lunch or snacks so gonna do it all in one place.

then I had a snack Hot and sour soup and Sushi 
so yummy

no room left for the grill or a steak

    Desert, lots of choices, our friend Pat Aljoe loves these bananas, too sweet for me. So many choices cakes, pies, fruit, ice cream oh my these bananas for Pat.

But I did have room for a bit of soft ice cream Rob Aljoe's favourite,
This little bit can fill in the empty spaces in my tummy.

         We had our fill some fun conversation and time to head back, we started to take the back roads but I made a bobo, turned too soon and ended back onto I-8 a bit of traffic back up but no big deal. Back home by 3 pm.

      Home now even too full for happy hour so we just vegged out, Enjoyed the shade of our awning did get up to 85f (29C), no wind  and clear blue skies. More relaxing reading time , what a perfect day for it too. ate an very tasty, Breakfast, lunch and supper. Because it was warm enough I wanted exercise our air conditioners, not that we really needed them but rain them each for about a half an  hour, just because we could.

       I did get a few more walkabouts done and finished a J.A Jance book then began another one of hers. Don't need to make supper tonight so get more reading and walking time, bonus! Got in 3 miles to help work off our buffet.

     Then what a great way to wrap up the day again with another wonderful sunset, we are so blessed to be able to enjoy these most every night here in the southwest.

       A fun day lunch buffet with friends and more great winter weather. Much better than back home . My sister sent me this weather for today below Kitchener is the area where we call home and the coldest day on record in the last 100 years. Sure glad we are here and not there.

      That was it for us just enjoying the weather and good times with friends, and so glad that we can enjoy this amazing lifestyle. Nice enough to sit outside until almost 7:30 wrap up this posting and head inside for the night maybe cath a movie on tv, We have lots of choices.
