Wow, spring is sure coming on strong !

Where are we today ?
Now we having some wonderful sunny spring weather. Gonna try and get outside as much as we can. But first we have work to do inside. Suzie is sorting stuff, I am fixing some drywall and painting, to make it look pretty. Research a few things to get done, run a few errands.
drywall patched and painted
Now to get outside and for some fresh air and exercise, gotta do it while we can. And it is an awesome day. Got up to 8c (46f) clear blue skies and sunshine that is amazing!
So go for a wonderful walkabout town. Did not have much time but did the circle 4.9 kms (3 miles) in less than an hour. So nice, birds chirping, lotsa Robins about and people taking advantage of the weather. Did not even need my winter coat, spring jacket worked today!
4.9 kms (3 miles) today
A few weeks ago this sidewalk below was snow covered and icy, much better now. Did the circle about town a few wonderful old homes here.
couple weeks ago I walked by here and they were just digging
the foundation sure do not waste any time building.

no more ice on the river in town
this was Eddly's Tavern for many years,
now being re furbished for another facility
B-W Feed and seed Mill right downtown
Next is Murray's Clothing and footwear, been here since 1952 you can check their web site here.

nice Local Restaurant
Puddicombes, B&B, Spa and Restaurant
Down the street a some more nice old houses.

And you know its spring time when the Motorcycles are out in force. Saw quite a few today but only managed to get a quick pick of these two zipping by.
Back home in time to whip up supper when Suzie got back from the Hospital with here Dad.  Going to try a new recipe. Grilled Lemon and Garlic Chicken, for the recipe click HERE. Or my recipe blog on the right hand sidebar.
Looking around the house here for a orange or lemon juicer could not find one. So down the street to the thrift store found exactly what I wanted for a buck. A keeper this is. Small and useful for our motor home.
nice compact juicer
Easy and quick recipe and was very tasty, sure is a keeper.
Added to a salad and we are good to go.
I know its good when Suzie says I can make this again
That was our busy day, making good progress here and even had a few minutes for some exercise and fresh air.
Thanks for the visit and I just know you had a good day too.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.

  3. There's just something about the older homes that make them much more homey. The newer homes don't seem as warm or inviting.

Thank goodness spring is finally coming your way.

    1. Alway loved older homes, much more character. Of my 11 houses I have owned, 6 of them were very old, loved them, almost like they are people with something to say to you.

  7. Some fine old homes around town. I know you are happy to see the warmer temps - it's actually a little too warm here for this time of year so it may be another long hot summer.
