Was gonna be a wordless Wednesday until I got out and about.

Where are we today ?
We are making progress here, one day at a time. Purged a few more items, moved stuff to her Dad's ( with her brother's help and his truck) and another box for the Thrift store. A light lunch then off they go to visit her mom.
I ran some errands and stopped at the post office in town (yes they still have a real post office!). Then into the Home hardware store in town to order an item, but the salesperson remembered me from earlier and said he found it it ! Sure do love small towns.
Now wanted to a large walkabout town today but kinda short on the time required. So while parked here I did manage to walk a few blocks around for about an hour. (Couple miles).
Down by the river a few back streets enjoying this wonderful warm sunny day and checking out the old houses in town. Love these old homes.
pet store downtown
nice mural on the side of the firehall
There is a nice walkway along the river , by the dam and across from the water wheel in town. So nice and peaceful, right in the heart of town too.
the Hartman bridge New Hamburg.
the New Hamburg Water wheel
Right on the river is this wonderful expensive restaurant. We were there a long time ago (on somebody else's tab many years ago). Wonderful service and excellent cuisine. If you care check out the menu HERE. Not in our budget I can tell you. Maybe lunch?
Then a found a couple ducks on the pond wanting me to feed them, sorry guys not here.
The walkabout town a few back streets so nice and quite on a wonderful day. Love the old homes.
I had a house in Kitchener with a similar stone porch
back in the early 1980's
still in operation here in town
By the time that was done time to head back home, putter around a bit and whip up supper.
Tonight a couple Basa filets on our Weber Q, grilled zucchini, yellow pepper and a half of lemon. the lemon on the grill for a couple minutes makes it very juicy.
love our Weber Q
of course our salad and more than we could eat,
left overs are good
That was our fun day in the sun and hope you had a good one too.
Thanks for the visit, enjoyed your company.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this past Winter.

  1. We were probably around the same temp today. With a constant drizzle, no sun, only 66 F worse than a late fall day.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.
