Cool overnight and again this morning, great for sleeping. I think our heat wave has left us. Today our adventure is back to the Pinery Fleamarket in Grand Bend, one of our favourite outings. A nice to wander about the vendors in the bush. Lotsa people and a few nice old cars too.
Mini Donuts yummy
Exchange a few books to stock up our library some more. This is one of the few places where we can get a good exchange for our slightly read novels. John is the vendor here and treats us well. We took in 15 books and he gave us 14 novels in exchange, sure can't turn that down. Thats 30 new books we have picked up for a total out of pocket expense of $13.00. Most of the books we exchanged we picked up in Quartzsite Arizona for a buck apeace.

Back home got new books out and enjoy a nice read in the shade. Almost cold today with a north wind and the shade only about 70f, not used to this cool weather now!
Trish and Mike dropped by after the market to show us their new purchase, a marshmallow and weenie roaster for the campfire. Whadda ya think?
sure a conversation peace
hey a new picture of us!
this robin dropped by with supper for us
We didn't care much the supper that the robin had to offer, so fired up our Weber grill and threw on a couple potatoes in foil with onions, carrots and just had to make some nice tasty , fall off the bone pork ribs, with a tasty sticky, bbq sauce for a yummy supper.
Weber does the job again
tasty supper and some sauerkraut too
As we were finishing supper an trailer pulled in behind us. Marc, Maryanne the kids and their beautiful Irish setter, Boss. Once they set up, came for a short visit to catch up. We have not seen them since last August. So nice to visit again, boy the kids and Boss are growing!

Now before we know it, getting dark and time to call it a night after another fun day in the sun. We now have a few more books to read too.
So nice of y'all to drop by.
Check out the map below to see where we have been this summer
Well, "Conversation piece" is about all I'd offer as well. Not so sure those "roasters" would be part of my equipment. Quite possibly if you were to look up a picture definition of the term "tacky"? But hey, to each his own!
With a little cooler air heading your way and lots more books, it looks like you're set for a while. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYep we are good for a while now.
DeleteEnjoy the new books and the cooler weather!
ReplyDeleteWe sure will.
DeleteOooh, I like looking at your books. We love Vince Flynn. Have you read Kyle Mills, Brad Thor, and Lee Child. Great thrillers.

DeleteThat "Woody's Chip Truck"....what a contraption! Did he built that himself?
ReplyDeleteIts no a real truck, just a vendor set up in the woods.
DeleteI think your friends may have been 'taken' on those weenie and marshmellow roasters!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking dinner and good books.
