Feb.18 th. Another awesome Saturday!

Where are we today ?

        A wonderful bright sunny Saturday morning, all is quiet in the resort and NO WIND! Its gonna be an awesome day I can tell. The view out our front window has now changed since moving sites yesterday but is so peaceful looking with the sun rising on the foothills.

        The standard coffees, computing and a walkabout then a quick trip to the store. While taking a side street by the train tracks I came upon this huge interesting looking building. The El Garces Hotel apparently is being restored. It was originally built by the Sante Fe railroad for the Fred  Harvey Company  another of his chain of railroad eating house and hotel establishments. Fred Harvey is credited with starting the first restaurant chain back in 1875. To have a job in one of his establishments as a Harvey Girl was a good respectable job for the times.

         Now back home we did another walkabout the resort, and checked out the craft sale in the clubhouse. Nothing too exciting there but did chat with a few people.

        Being a Saturday and a long weekend we could here the sounds of few boats on the river for most of the day.

         Now such a wonderful day, no wind, 75-80f I am feeling awesome and anxious to putter around. Checking with the resort we are allowed to wash our vehicles here so I took full advantage of this and washed both our coach and the car. All clean and shiny once again.

         Chores done for the day and chat with our neighbors from Alberta for a while. They have been fulltime rv'ers for 16 years now!

        Then we got to relax in the sun and the shade with our books for a while. Its so nice to sit outside with a good book, sunshine, warm air and Suzie.

        Well soon time to whip up some supper and tonight what to make? We have lotsa leftover chicken so how about chicken stroganoff ? We have the chicken, mushrooms, gravy, sour cream, a few spices, egg noodles and some broccoli on the side let's see how this tastes.

        Another awesome day winds down and is so nice just to hang out and enjoy the lifestyle we have chosen, following the sun with ever-changing scenery. Does it get any better?
