Up early as usual, turn the heat on and warm up the house. The sun is shinning today but its still pretty windy, no rain. So coffee, computing and walkabout this morning enjoying the fresh air. Then a short drive to Forest to grab a few groceries and new socks to keep my toes warm.
Now with this nice sunshine I enjoy being outside puttering around, I just rolled up our awning now that its dry, put a couple of lawn chairs away and cleaned some tar, bugs and sap from the car and applied more wax to the front of our coach and car. Of course when outside I chatted with a few people out and about, its always nice to meet new people.
Well before we knew it was 4:30 pm and the day just slipped away and I never got a chance to read yet, too busy doing nothing I guess? But now I'm gonna make a chicken pot pie for supper from our leftover bbq'd chicken the other night. So mixed it all together in a disposable foil pan (makes clean up easy) then we have a quick and simple, tasty supper for a cool night, plus the heat and smell from the oven making it so cozy. We even had a young lady knock on our door selling a chocolate bar fundraiser for her school so of course we had to buy one, a little desert!

ReplyDeleteYep nice and snugly blankie, weather soon time for the quilt!
That chicken pot pie looks so yummy! I think now I will have to make one, now that we are up in the mountains it is much cooler at night and we can have the oven on again. Looks like you will have some leftovers?
ReplyDeleteWon't be long now and you'll be on the road to warmer temperatures.

ReplyDeleteYes leftovers for sure, and soon on the road getting itchy feet!
We are currently in Utah and the heater is now becoming a regular morning ritual.
ReplyDeleteWe are going up toward Brian Head Mountain tomorrow and spend a couple days boondocking and then back to Cedar City. Should really be cool up there at about 7000 ft.
