Yes only four more sleeps and we begin heading south, we have people to see along the way and things to do and a few last minute things to do here.
Well yesterday morning I slept in until 7:40am, must have been the cool nights and heavy quilt over me keeping me trapped in bed. I had a 8:00am appointment in Plattsville to get our last two new tires installed on the car so had to rush. After they were installed I called my chiropractor in Waterloo to see if I could get a last minute tune-up and sure enough I am in an hour later. While in town I stopped at the Wholesale Club and picked up some necessary items to take south with us. Items that we cannot get once we cross the border. The most important being coffee, our first winter south we tried different coffees but prefer the one that we have been drinking for many years, so 5 cases 210 pots of coffee should do it. Some Swiss Chalet dipping sauce for chicken, and Cheez Whiz.
I condensed five boxes into into three.
Now back home to putter around a bit, its still cool and windy, but sunny so I got the riding mower out and cut a section of grass behind the house that badly needed it for about and hour. This chore done now it was a matter of making some hamburg patties from ground beef Sandy had thawed out and cook them up on the barbie for our supper along with a few fries.

Ok now appetites satisfied chat a bit the time for us to go home and relax, getting ready for one of our last few Canadian sleeps for about six months. Are we excited? You betcha we are always excited to hit the road to see new places and new faces.

Always last minute to do's but by now you have it down to a fine art I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteSounds to me that the timing of your journey south is just about right with the cold, wet days you are getting.
