Thurs. May 19th 2011, Getting nicer, so today we Celebrate

Join us as we travel North America in our 

Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August 2006

       Well today was almost nice. The weather is getting better and the campground is filling up. Trailers pulling in setting up more children and bicycles and familiar faces showing up. We puttered around, defrosted the fridge, (beer wasn't cold enough!) walkabouts and chatting with people then early afternoon the skies cleared up, sun shining and blue skies. Now we can sit in the warm sun with our books for a bit.

       Rich and Marylou dropped by for an afternoon chat then later we went with Mike, Trish and Jordan to Mulligans Bar and Grill at Arkona Fairways just around the corner. It was a special occasion, we are going to celebrate MY birthday. A day early but what the heck works for me, we're busy on friday.  You know its kinda fun having a birthday on a Canadian Long weekend, known as Victoria Day or The May 24 Weekend. All of Canada gets a day off just to celebrate my birthday!! How cool is that?

       On a beautiful evening we sat outside on the patio by the 18th hole and enjoyed a feast of battered mushrooms, fries, chicken wings and beer all supplied by our friends. A great time was had by all of us, thanks so much guys!! Who says we get too old to celebrate our birthdays?? Growing old is mandatory so lets celebrate,  growing up is optional.
