Wed. May 4th, 2011 Getting better

Join us as we travel North America in our

 Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August 2006

       Finally a day without rain. So nice to see some sunshine and almost warm weather. We forgot how dismal it can be with so many days of cold rainy weather now that we spend our winters in sunny southern  climates for the last 5 winters. After our morning coffees and computing a nice country drive to our doctor in Stratford for our yearly physical. Now that we have been tested poked and prodded, given a clean bill of health and a list of standard lab tests to have done probably in Strathroy Ontario.

        Now back home we are greeted by Omer sunbathing  in the sun, a good sign that the weather is getting better.

       By this now its a time for a light lunch then putter around a while. I checked the tires on  our coach and a few other items as we are "On the Road Again" in the morning to Rock Glen Resort (our ROD Home park). Being a bit warmer and sunny I wanted to do some stuff outside so, I got to work removing a piece of plywood from another broken window in the shop of the driving shed. Cleaned everything up and had a new piece of plexiglass cut to size in Tavistock then reinstalled a nice shiny new clean window. It took two trips to the lumberyard as the first piece that was cut was slightly too thick and would not fit the plastic frame, so another short trip resolved the problem.

       Then with Dennis and Sandy gone at 4:00 pm, Greg and Shelly doing chores we were on our own for supper tonight. Our choice was a nice rotisserie chicken from Sobeys in New Hamburg (one of our favourites) with "Swiss Chalet Sauce" boiled potatoes and steamed broccoli.

       Now it was still warm and sunny so we were able to sit on the porch with our books and Omer and enjoy the setting sun and almost warm fresh air. Well its been a busy two weeks here, we saw all of our family members, and a few friends, had some nice visits, but now its time to move on, sure do love this lifestyle. At any give time, give us a few minutes to lift the jacks, pull in the slide, hook up the car and we are off to another community and new scenery.
