Early morning sunshine and blue skies sure is nice and, it stayed that way all day, sunny and warm. shorts, t shirts and sandals weather. Coffees, computing and a walkabout, chatting with a few people here. Mid Morning we had a knock on the door and it was Larry. He and Shirley are full time as well, spend their winters traveling south like us but for the summer stay at Galvin Bay Resort (our Coast to Coast home Park) it does not open until May 15th. We chatted for quite a while sharing winter stories then I went to the store for a few things and then back for lunch.
beautiful blue skies
After lunch I went to the shop here and borrowed their pressure washer to clean our acrylic (canvas) awning. I dragged it home hooked it up fiddled, with it for about an one and half hours, then gave up and returned it (didn't work!), thats enough work for one day. It's still sunny and quite warm so we can sit in the sun with our books, reading and chatting with neighbours as they passed by.
great day
Now enjoying the sunshine and fresh air was great once again, summer is really on its way now. To celebrate I think I will fire up the barbie and whip up a batch of chicken wings, fries, veggies and dip, oh and of course an ice cold beer or two to wash it down. I even found two crab stuffed shrimp in our freezer to add to the mix.
yummy wings
Just as we were wrapping up supper a trailer pulled in front of us and stopped, it was Emile and Monique! We met them last summer at Galvin Bay Resort and ran into them in Abita Springs Louisana, and Styx River Alabama this past winter, small world! They too are waiting for Galvin Bay to open on the 15th. They got set up, and came over for a very late happy hour, until about 9:30pm, we even pulled out our propane fireplace to take the chill off the cool night air. Our first campfire of the season in Canada and I didn't even get a picture! Oh well there will be more.
Thanks for stopping by!

Nice to see you wearing shorts. Maybe that sunny warm weather will head our way. We are still in hats and mitts.
