This is the beautiful Rock Glen Falls right across the road at the conservation area, with some nice hiking trails.
Rock Glen Falls
After arriving yesterday, settling in and catching up with quite a few of the campers here, today is comfy. This is our R.O.D. (Resorts of Destinction) home park membership camping that we have come to really enjoy. This is a family resort and really geared to family activities, weekends and in the summer. Since 2006 we have saved many thousands of dollars compared to paying about $30.00 a night for camping. To camp here you must be a member or it's $50.00 a night, we camp free 3 weeks in, one week out then July and August two weeks in one week out and they are open year round! This works perfect for us as we do love to keep moving. Plus we have over 100 resorts that we can also camp in free 2/2 week visits a year.
mini golf and entrance
The resort is well maintained with great free facilities like mini golf, shuffleboard, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, tennis and basketball court, to stocked ponds for catch and release children's and adult activities, special meal's, like a free Breakfast for Mom's on Mother's Day etc.. live bands, dances karaoke, movie nights, teen dances, bingo, card games, wagon rides on the weekends, a small store with a few essentials like ice cream and candy, something for everybody if you care to participate.

There is also an outside pool and splash pad for the kids, and at this time of year we have the lovely heated indoor pool, hot tub and a large, fully equipped exercise room, so let it rain and be miserable we can have a great time anyway. The weather today was sunny, cloudy, thunder and rain. When the rain stopped a few times I walked about taking some pictures. But we also got our laundry done, swam a few laps of the pool, and soaked in the hot tub.
overcast
great pool area
By the time laundry was done it was time for supper, (where did the time go?) A little yucky out again so no BBQ today. Awe, we have some leftover rotisserie chicken, a jar of gravy we need to use up, broad egg noodles, some frozen peas and nice fresh French bread. So in a few minutes we had a very tasty meal.
yummy
Then we can chat and relax a bit, turn on the tv with a nice view out our front window as it rains, sunshines and sets for another great day. Wow, the grass is growing, it was only cut yesterday!
nice view over our tv
Oh and I like the sign by the exit of the resort, a friendly reminder not to forget to do a few things, the most important being, wife and kids aboard! Don't forget them if you value your life.

Notice the controls for this New Map on the left side, you can zoom into different areas of the map and see where we are or have been.
Your ROD park is one of our WHR parks where we pay 2.00per nite including electric but don't have to move out at all. Only cost us 6,000.00USD!! Looks like a nice park, one day if and when we retire we will come visit.
Contessa: Thats a lot more than we paid! We could stay for 12 months if we wish for about $2,000. but what's the fun in that? We are way too young to sit still, gotta move around, Different places , different faces.
Kevin and Ruth: We are never bored thats for sure, just have to keep moving about, Leftover's are so easy, fun, tasty and cost effective, limited only by your imagination.
We paid the big bucks so that when we are forced to stay state side rather than do Mexico we will be able to stay in a nice warm place for an inexpensive day rate when we are living on our OAP/CPP. We will have no other monies coming in. Unlike you we don't move around much, probably because we are so busy and going non stop while here in Canada we prefer to relax in one spot when on vacation.
Gotta retire soon don't wait too long. We will always travel a bit as long as our health allows. We stayed at Stone Island last year, and enjoyed it very much but two months in one spot and we were both restless. We have seen quite a few very nice resorts in south Texas ( Corpus Christie area) for $250. a month plus electric, even a few in Arizona that we have checked out as well. The possibilities are endless.
