Where are we today ?

Was pretty warm and humid overnight but we did get a nice sleep. Left our front A/C on auto at 75F and only ran intermittently and left on low for most of the day. And like the park rules state we had our fridge (now that it is fixed) and water heater on propane, so we are not drawing too much power from our 30 amp power that this campground has.Our friend Rob dropped by for a fresh coffee with us about 7:30 am, We chatted for a while then I headed out for a nice walkabout around the park before it gets too hot
Lots of other people have the same idea and nice to see the kids and adults out doing camping stuff and in the playgrounds.
About 9:45 am Suzie had our laundry sorted so into town to get that all taken care of. The Machines did their magic while I dove right back into my book again.
Home for a light lunch and enjoying more reading here in the shade with a nice breeze, Quite comfortable even though it was 93 F (34C) but felt much warmer with the humidity about 85%. Did not feel the need to go to the crowded pool today or even have another shower, I was quite comfortable reading and not doing anything too physical in this heat. Just consumed copious amounts of water.
Then 3 pm Happy hour time, we were invited to Rob and Pats to flap our gums and have a few laughs. Paul and Judy joined us along with our friends Gail and Randy.
lots of information shared and stories told as usual |
And we have OLI running around delivering firewood as usual to the campsites good deal $5.00 a bundle |
we have lots of nice shady spots here that we can enjoy |

Where have we been this summer?
Perfect camping and RVing weather topped up with a delicious dinner and leisure reading. It cannot get any better. No need to travel anywhere as it seems you have the perfect spot already. Hope it stays that nice and wishing you a Happy Canada Day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marlene it sure is perfect camping weather, we loving it ! We can hang out here for a bit then move on down the road soon, getting that hitch itch again !
DeleteGlad you are enjoying your weather. I envy you. We are about 62F with rain showers. Not our usual summer temperatures. Enjoy the weekend with your friends.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here is awesome we loving it, no complaints at all. We sure will enjoy this long weekend here.
DeleteDoing some catch up reading and the only thing I can think of is it sounds like you and Suzie are have a wonderful summer. I am not surprised you always seem to enjoy life as it comes. It is suppose to be warmer here this weekend though I am not complaining. If I was going to do so it would be about the mosquitoes that have arrived. Take care.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you guys again, we are having the heat and loving no mosquitoes here that we have run into.
DeleteWhen there are no pressing things to take care of, it is great to relax.
ReplyDeleteHere we alternate between jobs and relaxing.
Enjoy the company of your friends!

DeleteFirewood when it's that hot? Hope you stay cool .. sounds like more heat is headed your way.
ReplyDeleteYeah well camping with kids for the weekend these people want a campfire.
DeleteLooks like our long weekend will be chilly and wet here on the left coast. Oh well, you can't have it all...
ReplyDeleteAs you know we are having the heatwave, we will take whatever comes at us and enjoy it all.
DeleteOLI is a very enterprising young man with the firewood. It's amazing how some people think camping = fire no matter what the temp! Happy Hour looked like fun and your dinner looked perfect for the heat!
ReplyDeleteOli has been doing this for a few years and am sure he makes good money and provides a service to the campers here.
DeletePeople just need a campfire because they are camping. Dinner was excellent too thanks.
