Day 3 Glamping and enjoying much nicer weather. And doggies fixes for Suzie.

Where are we today ?

      Much nicer today a bit warmer into the mid 60's F and sunny most of the day. This calls for shorts again. Couple of nice early morning walkabouts , this morning couple miles around the park, Then a nice country drive to Strathroy for a few items.

      Home shortly after 10 am and asked Suzie if she wanted to go to lunch in Forest and check our Skeeter Barlows I had heard they have good broasted chicken . And we love broasted chicken !
    They open at 11 am and we were there shortly after. Atmosphere is nice (sports Bar) service excellent , staff very friendly and a very interesting menu. So many choices. But we were determined to try their Broasted chicken.

       Their prices are a bit on the high side but the food and service was excellent. Not  really expensive though , we have been to pricer places, besides this was a are treat for us to find a good place for broasted chicken. Very large servings, we could have easily shared my meal.

1/2 chicken , fries and veggies.
of course took some chicken home
but  that was my plan !

         Now back home by 12:30 fully satisfied with an awesome meal. Suzie relaxed for a bit and I headed into the carwash to give our car a good cleaning, Inside and out, wow looks almost new again, it's been a while.
       Then to relax beside our cabin in the partial shade enjoying our e-readers until 3 pm. Then Happy hour at Gerry and Melinda's.

          Over there for Happy Hour and Suzie got 2 doggie fixes with Tucker and Choco. Suzie in her glory! Yes Charley, we said hi to Tucker for you.

     We enjoyed a wonderful visit here, with Gerry, Melinda their grand daughter and the dogs. One pond is right beside their trailer with lots of lily pads and wonderful red flowers. Even a few frogs jumping around as well.

        A few minutes later Emile, Monique, Paul , Judy and Graham (with his dog Riley). Joined us so we had lots of interesting conversation going for a couple hours. Until just after 5 pm . Wow where does the time go?

       Then we back to our cabin to enjoy this wonderful weather on our porch, just need a sweater and long pants but still very comfortable. And so peaceful as I have said listening to the mourning doves and a few birds chirping.

      No need for supper tonight so just hanging out here on the porch posting this blog, Then can get some more reading done until it cools down a bit later then inside for a snack we have on days like this when we have a big lunch. In front of the TV around 8 pm we will share some fresh popped popcorn and an apple. Perfect way to end a perfect day Glamping, (Glamor Camping in a cabin with all the facilities) as Nancy Kissack  would say. This is another nice bonus with our membership here at Rock Glen Resort is the availability for us members to use these cabins for a reasonable fee.
