A very nice day, hanging out enjoying the warm sun and fresh air, perfect !

Where are we today ?

Much cooler last night 39F at 5 am but very little wind and a nice sunrise this morning as I got my first walkabout the campground. But with the sunshine feels really nice.
a nice sunrise to begin our day
this camper here runs a tiny Taxi business in the area
Just enjoyed this day and before noon I was in shorts again a nice 67F (19C) with a light north wind. Had a nice light tasty lunch then a drive to the Thousand Trails campground just up the road to check it out, just because I could, it is huge and a very nice park, in the woods and lots of facilities. Reminds me of our provincial parks back home, but with full hookups. Like to check out other places when we have time and we do.
love this cute tiny van
looks like a fun toy
nice roads through the bushes here
Now to relax in the afternoon sun enjoying our e-readers, chatting. discussing options we have and this wonderful sunny warm weather. Loving the clear blue skies and a few wispy clouds. They have free wifi at the clubhouse so Suzie whipped over there to do some updates on her I-phone and I-pad. No updates needed for me yet.
right into our page turners
enjoying this weather
no wind here at all very nice
Using the grill mat for the chicken with the marinade keeps it moist and grill clean.
chicken thighs and zucchini slices on the grill mat
Supper done and waiting for a sunset but after 7 pm I whipped down to the edge of the golf course (part of this park) and managed to get a couple of nice shots.
A very nice day we had , now just one more and we heading out of here for another adventure.
Glad that y'all dropped on by and hope you enjoyed your day as well.

  1. Beautiful sunrise and sunset pictures. I almost joined Thousand Trails back in the early 80s. Got two sleeping bags for going through their sales presentation.

    1. I did no presentation just wanted to check out the park because it was next door.

  5. Now that the RV Parks are emptying out revealing wide open spaces they look so much more appealing. We were going to check out a few RV parks too. I've seen unique cars and trucks in Foley, so should keep my eyes open for that little cute van. Enjoy that nice weather you are having.

    1. The far south parks are getting empty, but now the northern ones are beginning to get busy. We see lots of interesting vehicles on our travels, never know what you will come across.

  8. Still in Borrego Springs and the last week its been in the 80's. Overnights great sleeping with the windows open. May have to consider heading north now. Your picture of the grill mat reminds me, I am going to have to cut a new one. Mine is somewhere in the desert, thanks to the winds.
