Cold again overnight was supposed to be only 34f but at 5 am was 27f and our water hose froze again, But like before no problem we have water in our tank.
I got a nice walkabout around 7:30 enjoying the fresh air then shortly after 8am I headed into Sierra Vista for a few more items on my list and stop at a bank machine for more cash.
By 9 am the hose was thawed out and was warming up nicely from the sun.
nice morning views of the mountain to the west of us |
love the morning sun on these huge agave |
heading north back to the camoground |
For supper tonight I picked up a small pork loin roast on sale $1;69 a lb at Frys'. Cut in half and butterflied it and laid out flat , I made my sage dressing, rolled it back together and tied it tightly with butcher's twine to keep it all together. Wrapped it in foil with sauerkraut and in a foil pan, set on our Weber Q to roast low and slow, about 3 hours. For the recipe I used my Rolled ribs with sage stuffing you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right side bar. You also cook these in your oven, slow cooker, pressure cooker our whatever you like. Times will vary depending on the process you use. Seeing as it is a beautiful warm sunny day we will be outside and love to read with the smell filling up our campsite.

Where have we been this winter ?
Dinner looked delicious. I am envious of those food prices, wish they had them here. Hope the weather will warm up for you soon because frozen water lines are a nuisance.
ReplyDeleteWE don't mind that kind of weather because it's great for hiking but if you're just sitting around we like it warmer. Suzy looks cold in the photo. Nice and hot here in Mexico. Shorts and t-shirts.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind this weather at all, but unless it is over 80f outside Suzie is bundled up I was in a t shirt most of the day and in shorts pretty well all winter, but we are making our way home so looking for some cooler places along the way, Elevation here is 4,500 ft so will be cooler.
DeleteThey say it will warm up soon and I'm ready for it. Suzie looks like she found the perfect reading spot in the warm sunshine. That sentry plant is the tallest one I've ever seen. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGonna get colder first then warm up , no problem at least the sun is shining. That is a huge sentry plant there was a much larger one here last fall, have not seen it yet.
DeleteYou guys sure know how to make me hungry. Yum, yum, that food looks good.
ReplyDeleteIt was very tasty Dizzy, really smelled nice soothing outside too.
DeleteGlad you are enjoying the weather!!
ReplyDeleteHopefully this warming trend continues to proceed us all the way back to Ontario.
Enjoy!!
It is very nice weather no complaints here, we will get warmer and cooler weather along the way home but all part of the adventure.
Delete.77 lb for asparagus wow. I can't find it for less than $2.78 and it isn't worth buying its tough as leather. That meal looks so good.
ReplyDeleteThe asparagus it right in season I check the weekly flyers to for the sales, we get our fill here every year at this time. The roast was wonderful thanks.
DeleteWhat a perfect day!! Your pork loin looked delicious!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day and the roast excellent.
DeleteI've got to quit reading your blog in the morning. Makes me hungry all day.
ReplyDeleteGives you something to look forward to a nice tasty meal for supper maybe?
DeleteSometimes I wonder how you survived before you bought your Weber Q... :cD
ReplyDeleteI did BBQ some but not as much as we can with our Weber Q. I have used over, slow cookers, pressure cooker. But this is what works good for me.
DeleteYou have landed in one of the areas we do love, we plan on spending Easter there this year. That park is always nice and clean and you cannot beat the price. Nice to read you caught up with Patsy and Bill and have had a chance to visit with your other friends. The blue skies out here are beautiful. Nice sunset picture.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice place, very reasonable, that we enjoy as well. Great to catch up with Bill and Patsy again and visit with other friends as well. The blue sunny skies are what makes this all worthwhile.
DeleteIt turned into a nice day until the winds picked up and sent us inside. The sun was gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteyour pork loin looks wonderful, I'll have to pick some up and do that again. it has been awhile.
We'll have to catch up before we leave Thursday. Glad you are enjoying your time here too.
It was a wonderful day and we managed to find spots out of the wind. The park loins on sale at Safeway right now a very good price.
DeleteAlways love it here and hope to catch up with y'all as well.
Where are you guys in the park? I did a short walkabout before the wind blew me back in B3. If too windy George and you'll want to meet up in the front community room for HH?
