Where are we today ?

Our last day here for now and once again another perfect day. A very short walkabout this morning then an early cruise about town just enjoying the scenery and sunrise from different locations.
Then just puttered around for a while, set up our awning and sunscreen and a light tasty lunch. After lunch I took a bit of a desert drive around our area to enjoy more scenery and a bit more exploring, just because I can . Nothing quite like the amazing desert views here in the southwest desert.
heading out for a drive |
Dome rock |
this Saguaro cactus looks all messed up |
Once they were gone finished what we were doing and then I whipped into Quiet Times to pick up Suzie's package, new battery for her laptop, awesome ! This is what we were waiting for now we can get outta Dodge (Q)! The USPS came through again for us, was suppose to be here Friday but came in today, No need to hang around any more, gonna scratch that hitch itch.
Now we can get back to enjoying our e-readers and just after 3 pm Dave and Cheryl , fellow bloggers dropped in for a visit as planned, since we were all done our packing up, now time our social hour. Nice to see them again sharing stories, tips and getting to know each other, what a fun time we had.
Suzie, Dave and Cheryl |
Dave Cheryl and , hey that's ME ! |
Now to enjoy some more reading time and the amazing weather, Soon time to whip up supper tonight. A quick and easy one, stir fry using some of our leftover turkey. About 10 minutes and we had a feast.
A nice one pan meal |
this is all we needed, just added a corneal muffin and oh so tasty, 'perfect |
Now as this was all done we got to enjoy another wonderful desert sunset. I really think most of the best ones are right here in Quartzsite.
Now that was it for another perfect desert day here in Q. In the morning we can head out to a membership campground for a week. just for a change, never been there but for us only 10 bucks a night and this was Suzie's wishes . Heck I am only the driver and the cook, I will follow wherever she leads me to.That was our fun day enjoying this weather again and chatting with friends that dropped on by. Still outside reading and posting the blog, 7:30 pm and still 68f shorts and sandals, heck really gotta love winter here in southern AZ.
Thanks for stopping in and hope your day was wonderful as well.
nothing wrong with the weather here but we not going far |

ReplyDeleteThanks George and Suzie for the wonderful chat and all the advice on parks and sights back east. You guys are a wealth of knowledge and it is so appreciated that you share your knowledge willingly to us newb's.
Safe travels and we hope to see you again soon. See ya later!
It was really nice to see you guys again, and if we share with you that is fine. Thats how we started research, chatting with people and many happy hours swapping stories, You gather information filter out what you need and confirm those findings then do it your way.
DeleteSae travels for you guys as well.
Enjoy your travel day
ReplyDeleteThank your Jo we sure will.
DeleteGlad we finally had the chance to visit this winter without worrying about sharing Kathy's bug. Hopefully we'll get the chance to cross paths more often somewhere down the road.
ReplyDeleteIn't that how it goes, you get busy trying to pack and everyone stops in for a visit.
Safe Travels and Enjoy the Adventures.
It's about time.
Thanks guys, we putter around at our own pace getting things done, then can still relax, and enjoy a tasty supper.
DeleteNo matter the day just flew on by and we can have a relaxing travel day tomorrow.
Another great day under the desert sun! Be sure Suzie tests her new battery, I just returned a 3rd party battery that fit perfectly, discharged perfectly, but would not take a charge. Arg!
ReplyDeleteYes Jeff it was a wonderful day It will be tested for sure no problem, You never know what you are getting until you try it out. We ill be giving it the road test today.
DeleteGreat pictures of the surrounding area near your coach. Lotsa great company you had, nice picture of Kathy and Rick. Love the pic of Dave and the two beauties and you with them too. Nice group of folks all of you. Looking forward to pics of the RV park. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks gonna miss this area, the wide open spaces and desert scenery. But we have been here long enough. A new destination and an Rv park with full hookups? Gonna seem strange.
DeleteHave a safe travel day. It's starting to warm up a bit here on Vancouver Island.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter, enjoy the warmth.
DeleteNice pictures of the Dome Rock area, really like the two sunset pictures. We always feel a little sad leaving the Quartzsite area but then we smile because we had this time and take with us great memories, plus, we know we are on to new adventures. Safe travels and enjoy the full hookups...:)
ReplyDeleteThank Deb, always miss leaving this area but new adventures are always fun and so many new memories.
DeleteThe full hookups is a treat that we enjoy but will miss the wide open spaces.
That tie dye shirt didn't last long. I guess it attracted too many old hippies? :cD

Safe travels.
It was a busy day but still relaxing. this is a very nice park.
DeleteLooks like that Saguaro got a little confused about which way to grow. I just have to ask - do you wear the vest to bed? :-) :-)
ReplyDeleteIn did look confused, no Larry I don't wear it to bed but usually when I and outside.
DeleteBeautiful sunrise pictures. We have no clouds in Borrego Springs, so not the same beauty, but love the nice warm nights and mornings we're having.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're on your way to different beautiful surroundings. Have a safe trip.
