A very comfortable warm night with the windows open and we both had a wonderful sleep, as usual. Up just before sunrise about 6 am, got our coffee, and computing done a couple of walkabouts still enjoying this wonder warm weather, even though it was overcast and very humid. Temps about 76 F (24C), not a problem we can handle that. This picture below was a bunny that came by last night late just before we headed in, Seems to be hanging out around here somewhere.
baby bunny came by for a visit |
I got home for light lunch, another walkabout and over to this amazing fitness centre we have her in this park, I have been missing my workouts because something always seems to crop up when I want to go.
love this fitness centre included in our membership |
About 3:30 I prepped a couple of chickens we got on sale to cook up can't turn down a deal on chicken and with no freezer space will cook em up. Left over chicken and bones to make more soup ! Sandwiches and whatever we feel like. Just over 6 lbs of chicken for under 10 bucks, that is a deal here in Canada!
right on the Weber Q, low and slow just under 90 minutes and done to perfection |
cloudy and drizzly |
then clear and sunny |
we done |
added a small salad and really did the trick today |
Really not a bad day at all, nice and warm, most of our time outside and enjoying life.
Thanks for stopping in and hope you had another great summer day as well
Where have we been this summer ?
That's a great deal on chicken, especially when you consider the price per person per meal...
ReplyDeleteYes it sure was, that's what I figure, cost per serving, and we have lots of servings here.
DeleteYou two have another great day! And top it off with a great meal. The smoke from the Lolo Fire has stopped us in Missoula for the night at Wally's-campinglot. But grilling is not gonna happen just the salad for the evening.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day, Wally's camping lot is not so bad we do a lot on the road and nothing like a tasty salad for supper.
Deleteyour chickens on the grill always look so tasty.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larry. They are wonderful, tasty and moist.
DeleteSure does look like a yummy dinner. Gonna have to try a whole chicken on the Weber Q Haven't done that one yet. Do you marinate or baste or anything other than low and slow?
ReplyDeleteNo marinade or basted, I just trim excess fat, spray to with oil and my favourite spice , preheat on high turn to low close the lid. After 45 min check and tilt chicken to let the grease inside burn off about 80 minutes should be done 165 internal temp on breast skin will be crispy and moist inside.
DeleteLove chicken and chicken sandwiches. You always make your chicken go really far! The fitness center is awesome..nice perk to the campground!
ReplyDeleteWe do love chicken and do make use of the whole bird.
DeleteThis fitness centre is one of the nicest I have used.
Another fine summer day.
