Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
since August 2006
Today is beautiful, bright and sunny, just like predicted. So off we go into Grove to visit the
Har-Ber Village, one on the largest Antique museums in the United States on the shores of
Grand Lake O' the Cherokees in Grove, Oklahoma.

Only a short 10 minute drive from our resort we arrived there about 11:30 am ready to enjoy a nice walkabout the museum. Now we were here in March 2009 and really enjoyed it so much we just had to return again. Mostly run by volunteers and only a small admission price of $3.50 we did a quick walkthru of the whole village which took us over 2 hours. This museum was built as a gift to the public from Bernice and Harvey Jones of JTL (Jones Truck Lines) on Sept. 20th 1968 and is still growing today. I took many pictures today, but most of the interior ones did not turn out well because almost every room and display was protected from the elements with glass windows, reflecting light and flash. The donated collections here are absolutely amazing and the way they are displayed in donated logs for cabins some over 150 years old. From glass, pottery, silverware, machinery, vehicles, buildings, musical instruments, you name it, articles from the past are being preserved for future generations to see how our forefathers experienced life.

Well after this interesting adventure we returned to the resort to enjoy the afternoon sunshine, out of the wind and warm temperatures, with a book and more fresh air. Just a little too windy to BBQ so I roasted our cornish hen in the oven, with Swiss Chalet dipping sauce, mashed potatoes, cauliflower and carrots for supper. Chat a bit more then relax with a tv show.
