Doggie fix, and Suzie winning at darts!.

           After supper last night Loree and Freddie dropped by for a visit on their walkabout and Suzie got a nice doggie fix from Freddie. Always nice when they stop by for a short chat when they can.

     Then at 6:45 head out to play darts that we enjoy. Cost us 3 bucks each to play for a couple hours of fun. And a nice treat tonight Bob and Mary came in to play. They camped here for many years but eventually sold their park model and moved back the their house, getting to be too much work to keep up both places. Considering Bob is 91 and they have been married for 67 years ! Like wow. Always enjoy seeing and chatting with them and love Mary's laugh such a character she is. She calls me Georgie Porgie and always say Mary had little lamb , fun times together for years here.

   We enjoyed the darts and social time as we always do. This time my team did not place but Suzie's team tied for first place , and in the play offs her team won! Yahoo big pay off she won her 3 bucks back. So all that fun cost only 3 bucks.

     Home shortly after 9 pm relaxed a bit then off to bed.

     We both had a great sleep and up at 6 this morning. Cooler now only 54F outside (60f) inside, But the sun came up and a very short walkabout for me and took our laundry to let the machine do their magic, I am out of her hair and she cleans the house (only takes about 10 minutes in our tiny house. Back home by 10:30 enjoyed a light lunch then I went and filled our 5 gallon jug of RO water we use for drinking, cooking and coffees/tea.

       A perfect afternoon to enjoy more of our page turners on another very nice cooler sunny day.

         Then about 3 pm Happy hour evolved I put our sign out so they knew it was time, lol. They know 3 pm here is always a social time anyway every one is welcome if they care to come a share stories, tell laughs, jokes, lies, whatever, Bring your water, coffee/tea pop  whatever is your choice of beverage and of course a chair.

     Tucker dragged Gerry over and hopped right on to his chair for a Suzie fix and a rub of course.

      Then Kim, Ken and their grandson Seth joined us as well. Genealogy was the topic of discussion today. Suzie and Ken have been into it for years now is Gerry's new project so much family stuff that you can learn.

    Across from us is a playground that Seth just had to check out and of course the huge tires are a big attraction, he climbed right up.

     The the swings is the next adventure , think Kim enjoyed them as much as Seth.

      Soon they headed home and time for me to put together a tasty premade pizza we bought at the Pinery market last Sunday. A meat lovers thin crust and as always I added more toppings. While I was doing this Dorothy (the cat lady that brings us fresh veggies) dropped off some very tasty Cherry Cheese cakes her daughters boyfriend makes. Thanks Dorothy these are amazing! Thank your Daughter's boyfriend as well.
       I got our Pizza ready to cook on our Weber Q dressed just the way we like it preheated the grill for 15 minutes.

          It was a very nice relaxing summer day cooling down a bit got things done and a nice Happy hour, Wrapping up with a tasty pizza for supper.
          Now to enjoy a quiet evening as the sunset, read a bit more then call it a night.

Cooler now but still comfortable weather for shorts.Smelts for supper.

      After yesterday's rain the temperatures have cooled down a bit And we enjoyed a good night's sleep. Much cooler today high about 74F with a cool breeze,  much cooler in the shade. Feels like our winter temperatures in the south west desert. With clear blue cloudless skies.
      I headed out for a nice walkabout the campground and up the  hill out to the road and back almost 2 miles.

      After lunch I took a nice country drive to Forest, picked up few groceries then drove up hwy 21 through the reserve towards Grand Bend and back through Thedford to Arkona, just because I could.

       Now a nice relaxing afternoon enjoying our e-readers outside for the fresh air, and warming sunshine, your can feel fall is in the air.

        We also enjoyed a quiet happy hour reading, chat with few people that walked by and even Dorothy  (the cat lady here) dropped off a few more cucumbers for us from her garden, Thanks Dorothy we do enjoy these garden fresh veggies.
        Supper time tonight we will enjoy some smelts I picked up the other day at Food Basics in Strahroy. We have not had these for a few years.

        After supper down to the clubhouse for Thursday night darts we enjoy always a fun social time. Maybe win maybe not no matter we enjoy it anyway.
       It was a really enjoyable relaxing day with this still decent summer weather.

The rest of yesterday and most of todays's posting.

Where are we today ?

      This will finish up yesterday's posting and most of today.. Our good friends arrived yesterday afternoon and we have not seen them for quite a few years, so nice to get together again and catch up. Reliving old camping tails and fun camping together with these guys. So many fun times.

      We chatted and amazing how the time just flew by. Melinda walked by with Tucker and stopped to meet them, Tucker Fixes for everyone.

      Eventually we went home to whip up supper and the wagon ride was beginning right across from us.

         Supper last night a couple of boneless skinless chicken breasts on the grill mat with our Bourbon BBQ Sauce we love.

     Added to that some chinese noodles with veggies and a small salad.

This sure hit the spot

    Then followed supper we joined them for a campfire on a very nice night, and once again time flew by, Before we knew it almost 11 pm ! Woe way past our normal bedtime, no wonder I was feeling  tired.

     We both had a very good night sleep after our late night and campfire. At 6 am was 52F outside, feeling kinda chilly. but I did get a nice walkabout the campground for 30 minutes , then home to putter around chatted with Dave and Shari-lyn for a bit the secured their coach and parked at a pull through site in the orchard and came back to visit a nd chat some more.

    Then shortly after 1 pm they took off to the Grand Bend Motorplex where they are going for the weekend. to watch the drag races they love. They have had the same camping spot for years from row with the races taking off right in front of them . lotsa friends there, campfires , good food and the races for the weekend.

         The rest of the afternoon week enjoyed reading in the shade until time for supper, Tonight a couple of Turkey Burgers and some fresh corn on the cob. Nothing like fresh local corn.
        3 pm Tucker dragged gerry over for Happy hour, she got a doggie fixe and he got his treats.

  Then at 630 we made our way to the clubhouse for tonight is Dart night again more social fun for us for a few hours 3 bucks each to play and maybe win something maybe not, not matter the fun time we do enjoy.

     No sunset tonight as it will be set before darts is finished.

     Another great day here with wonderful weather we enjoyed.
