Much cooler today but that is ok. Got some nice early morning walkabouts done, no rain is perfect.n Just putter around for a while, almost enjoying the cooler day, had to put long pants on for a bit and sweater though, but we survived,
Chat with a few people, enjoyed leftover pizza for lunch, then more walkabouts while Suzie has a rest.
They BBQ hamburgs and hot dogs for Saturday lunch but not for us today, they always have a good turnout. I cooked them once a couple years ago and was fun time.
After lunch to check out Gerry and Melindas' progress on their new flooring install. Coming along nicely and Suzie got a Tucker fix.
While she played with Tucker I set to work to clean all of our interior windows and mirrors in the coach. Removed the screens to do this and may as well give them a good cleaning as well..

More reading in the shade we enjoyed then check out the fishing derby up by the pond. Lots kids and adults here all having a great time. And lots of fish being caught, mostly small ones (catch and release) but everyone had a wonderful time for sure.

On the way back Suzie stopped for another Tucker Fix.
Then home to read bit more and whip up a salad to go with a couple of grilled pork chops.

After supper to enjoy a wonderful warm sunny evening. Reading, working on the blog and a few people stopped by to say Hi. Terry and Paul to check out our new flooring, just to see it in person and sure like the colors and the job that Walt did. Then another friend Peter dropped by to say hi, they just pulled in today, always nice to catch up with them when they are here.

Now here it is after 9 pm ready to post this blog , Then can enjoy some more quality reading time outside for a while yet with my sweetie.

Where have we been this summer ?
Crikey ...... Mum felt sorry for those poor little fishes. She'll never understand what people see in fishing and she reckons that catch and release is just way to cruel. Fancy being hauled in with a horrible hook thingie stuck in your mouth and then have someone take it out and throw you back in just to have it done to you again. That's worse than going to the dentist every day, Mum reckons.
ReplyDeleteI guess thats one way if looking at it Charlie, I would hope after they get caught once they would know better than to get caught again. They keep getting bigger every year though.
