Nice and warm overnight, windows open and a nice breeze gotta love it ! Up at 6 am and was a perfect 70f outside (21C) Got a few nice walkabouts this morning even though it was cloudy and no rain yet was good. Even got some bike riding in as well just cause I could.

Santa Made a special trip here for today |
After my first walkabout notice this scruffy looking bird sitting on the rear tire of Suzie's bicycle. I got close and it did not move. Think Maybe it had a crash and was stunned. A while later it was gone. Probably cleared it's head and carried on.

what happened to you ? |
After a light lunch we enjoyed some outside reading under our awning, The rains began about 2 pm and varied on for the rest of the day. from heavy rains to a light drizzle.
|
you know it is still nice out when Suzie is still in shorts |
Had a comment yesterday when someone asks what was "Near Beer". This is a de-alcholized beer that we drink only .05 % alcohol and 50 calories, we buy in Canada and is only 1/4 the price of real beer. Not too bad and less alcohol and much less calories as well.

I like the Red Suzie likes the Blonde |
|
love sitting under our awning, nice a dry listening to and watching the rain come down |
At 4 pm Santa was at the clubhouse and lotsa young kids stood in line to sit on his knee and got a treat (freezies) They all enjoyed this time talking to Santa.
No I did not sit on Santa's knee, neither did Suzie. But we came home to whip up supper. Tonight a couple of chicken thighs on our Weber Q to add to a tasty green salad.
|
love our Chicken on the Weber Q |
|
yummy? yup! |
After super I did a drive about the park to check for Christmas decorations , and there was a few sites nicely set up despite the raining weather.
Then home to see Santa getting ready for the wagon ride. His reindeer and sled were not here so he drove theTractor pulling the wagon with all the fun loving people having fun even with the light rain still happening. not much to dampen their spirits on Christmas. in July. At least it is not cold and snowing!
|
Hi Santa ! |

On Dancer on Prancer and away they go |
|
ho. ho ho. too much fun |
I got back home and Suzie had company Maya could not walk by without a Suzie fix, so there she is. Hopped right on her knee and even got some treats.
|
doggie fix for Suzie |
|
she actually gets 3 tiny treats if she sits just right |
That was our fun day here, doing what we usually do. Enjoying this wonderful warm weather rain or shine getting our exercise, chatting with a few people and enjoying our quiet reading time. As well as having Santa drop by for an early Christmas visit.
Sure works for us hope y'all had a great day as well and thanks for stopping on by.
Where have we been this summer ?
Looks like Santa has been sticking to his diet staying away from all those cookies. That'll go out the door on Christmas Eve.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
This Santa is eating healthy and gets his exercise, the odd cookie is ok with him.
DeleteLooks to me like a great day and an early Santa visit. Seems like Santa may have to put on a bit of weight before winter and his December outing in the cold.
ReplyDeleteSanta watches his figure in the summer because he likes to hang out at the beach.
DeleteeGads! Christmas in July? Thank goodness I don't have to go shopping for gifts twice a year.
ReplyDeleteNo Christmas gifts here just a fun celebration.
DeleteI just might have to try that brand of "near beer". Lately I only drink Clausthaler at the pub, which not only removes any concern with drinking and then driving home, but also is about half the cost of a pint of regular beer. Not such a big diuretic either I've discovered.
ReplyDeleteWorks for us Bob especially when we do like our cold beer.
DeleteWe enjoy it and not too bad, very refreshing when it is real cold.
Looks like a fun day and like you, I enjoy sitting under the awning in the rain.
ReplyDeleteThank Larry it was a wonderful day.
DeleteGreat fun! I love all the decorated sites.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun day , and nice to decorate for Christmas in the summer time.
