Where are we today ?
Another fun filled warm sunny day doing what we do best relax. I did a quick trip to Strathroy to pick up a few supplies and a new glass jug for my orange juice. The plastic ones seem to go sour in a year or so.
We got in a few walkabouts the park enjoying another warm sunny day. And even got some quality reading in as well. Late afternoon a couple walked around the corner of the cabin and surprised us. Rick and Kathy of "It's about Time" fellow bloggers from near Windsor Ontario. We met them last August in Plattsville when they stopped by to meet us and for a nice visit. Today they picked a site behind us in "Square" and got set up.

Their site behind us in the square |

Rick and Kathy |
After they got set up we decided to head over to the closest place to grab a quick bite to eat
Arkona Fairways bar and grill, right around the corner.
|
newly landscaped entrance |
Nothing fancy but pretty tasty, reasonable and close by.

Chicken Quesadia for Suzie |
|
Wings for me |
|
Taco salad for Kathy |
|
Chicken wrap and 2 wings for Rick |
After a tasty meal and flapping our gums for a while headed back home. Wagon ride heading around the park. Christmas in July and Santa is driving the tractor. Too hot for the Reindeer.
Back home I whipped up some fresh strawberries and small Angel food cakes with whipped cream for desert. Not bad but I guess I should have smashed the strawberries over the cake, it was a little tough.
|
still tasty though |
More conversation flowed until the sun began to set and was cooling down. Time for us to head inside, almost bedtime.
|
another nice sunset |
A great quiet day and surprise visitors was a wonderful day to spend the day.
Thanks for dropping on by for a visit too. Good night!

Mmmmmm.... Strawberries. I think that's all I saw.
ReplyDeleteWe love strawberries too.
DeleteWhat fun.... fellow bloggers, Christmas in July AND fresh strawberries! Say... I'm looking at the "live feed" section on the right of your blog... don't think it displays when I read....
ReplyDeleteWe like to have fun everyday, its good for your health.
DeleteProbably does display, but not necessarily where you are. It depends on where your internet feed is happening at the time.
Today my feed is from Toronto 3 hours away, yesterday was 2 hours the other direction. When we are in Arizona our feed could be Washington, British Columbia, or Tennessee.
I'll bet yours was Eastmain Quebec.
Isn't drop by visitors the best kind?
ReplyDeleteYes it is, no muss no fuss, just a great visit!
DeleteI swear, George! I always gain about 12 pounds just reading your blog… man oh man oh man…
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you people have … always fun stuff happening in your world!
The fun comes with the lifestyle.
DeleteNo need to gain weight, moderation is the trick. I have lost 25 lbs this summer.
well, then I'll have to read your food stuff and pictures ... uh.. every other day? LOL ... 25 lbs?? oh, me.
DeleteLast night was an exception, Fish Tacos tonight,
DeleteI'm surprised Santa didn't melt in that suit if it was too hot for his reindeer! :cD
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty warm, but cooler and wet today.
DeleteQuesadilla!! My favourite!
ReplyDeletePretty tasty there, and just around the corner!
