Where are we today ?
Cooler today and was gonna wash our coach. But cooler than what I like so will wait for a bit, not in a hurry am I? I like it to be about 80f.
But did get a couple walkabouts done and chat with a few people here before heading into Forest for a few supplies. Then back home and Suzie is brushing Freddie. We have the privilege of doing the Doggie Day care for Ron and Loree, they had stuff to do all day and we volunteered. Suzie was in her glory!

Freddie loves being brushed |
While she played with Freddie I thought I would get to work on the headlights of our car, not so clear anymore.
|
quite a bit of difference |
About an hour or so puttering around it sure did make a big difference. Also redid the headlights on our coach, only takes about 5 minutes.
|
bought this kit win the USA for $9.99 works great |
Next our Sirius satellite radio not working, ends up its an issue with the antenna. No problem I have a spare. Hooked it up and good as new again.
Then we get to enjoy our books for while with Suzie and Freddie went for a few walkabouts.
|
Freddie is right at home here |
Ron and Loree returned home to pick up Freddie and stopped by for a "Happy/ Social Hour" and had a nice visit. Just before they arrived at 2:30 the skies got dark, winds picked up and we had a major downpour for about 15 minutes, then the sun came back out and warmed up again.
At 4:30 when they left another huge downpour again , about 15 minutes and skies cleared , sun shining again!
|
nice for Happy Hour |
Then before we know it time for supper. Tonight sweet potatoes with apples and cinnamon on the grill. For the recipe click
HERE instead of butter I used a bit of olive oil. Turned out perfect!
|
sweet potatoes and apples almost ready for the grill |
|
right after the 2nd rain, we cooked supper |
A nice small pork tenderloin (internal temp 145f) and grilled sweet peppers, to go with the sweet potatoes and apples.
Then a small green salad, leaf lettuce, kale, spinach, black olives, flax seed, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh mushrooms, a huge strawberry with olive oil balsamic vinegar and garlic dressing to finish off a very tasty meal.
|
Wagon ride tonight at 6 pm |
Back outside to read for a while then again shortly after 7 o'clock, what do we have, but another heavy downpour for about 15 minutes again and more sunshine. Then a nice rainbow in the east. (thanks for the text Ron/Loree). By this time we gave up and went inside for the evening.
|
yep we got the rainbow |
That was our day, not too hot, not too cold, fun with Freddie, read for a while, visit with friends and another tasty supper. Does it get much better? Think not.
Glad you could stop by again and hope it did not rain to much on you today.

I know you like to share because we had rain most of the day.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
No rain here until late afternoon.
DeleteWe had us a gully washer today. Like yours, it didn't last too long, but it sure did come down. Freddie looks like one very happy puppy.
ReplyDeleteThats the words I was looking for "gully washer".
DeleteFreddie is a very happy friendly guy.
I quite agree with you on waiting for higher temperatures to wash the coach.
ReplyDeleteWashing it on a hot day is fun and cooling.
DeleteSame weather here, George. Strange one for sure. I am definitely going to make the sweet potato and apple recipe! Oooh, can taste it now! Thanks. You'll need your jackets again for today (Wed.) for a bit anyway but warming up later. Take care!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sweet potatoes, they yummy!
DeleteYou have a great day too.
Our weather here yesterday was just the same. That lens stuff seems to have fixed them right up.
ReplyDeleteThe headlights are much brighter now,and look better too.
DeleteI'd gladly trade you some of the rain and cool weather for the heat wave we're experiencing out here on the coast. We're not used to temps in the high 80's and 90's and would love some cool (even cold) weather for a bit.
ReplyDeleteWe would trade you too, much prefer the heat.
