Where are we today ?
This day 21 years ago Suzie and I tied the knot. Married my best friend at an outdoor service in the back yard of her Sister Rose and Brother in law Ross's. Their huge driveway, patio, swimming pool and shed all done with interlocking pavers, perfect setting. His business Ross Yantzi's Pavestone Plus in Tavistock Ontario. (We were just there again last weekend)Ceremony on the patios, wedding photos at the back of the lot by the bush, reception in the shed (135 guests) Pig roast and prime rib, home made salads, great DJ, such a fun time. Then we went on my first Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon. The beginning of our awesome life together!
This be us in 1993 |
we went to a wedding last month in New York 2014 |
this is how most people know us now |
spraying hot tar on the roads |
spread the chips and roll it down |
Then watching John sterilize the plastic balls from the children's play room.
Now a lot of the day has passed us by after a couple walkabouts and we can enjoy our books in the shade. Couple quick rain showers, but nothing too serious.
Now for our Anniversary dinner I told Suzie we can go anywhere she likes. Her choice? Cook a nice prime rib steak dinner, sauted mushrooms, onions, caesar salad, garlic bun, wine and blueberries with whipped cream for desert.
fresh from the butcher, prime rib |
Baked taters, and our skillet on the grill |
mushrooms and onions almost done, add broccoli and garlic bun |
added a caesar salad and some wine= perfect |
And when its too dark we head inside for a few fresh blueberries with whipped cream for desert.
Now after midnight tonight (21 years ago) we headed off to Toronto for a couple hours sleep, and catch a flight to Miami for an amazing Caribbean cruise. We have been on two more since then.
so good too |
As we are relaxing with our books tonight a couple (Bob and Patsy) dropped by that we had met last winter in Grove Oklahoma and again in Benson Arizona. Chatted for quite while. Such a small world it is.
Think its soon time to head inside for the night now getting almost dark.
Thanks again for stopping in for the visit.

Happy Anniversary. Why would anyone want to go out to dinner when they live with a chef who prepares great meals.
