Sat. Jan. 14th A cleaning up day again..

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

 Where are we Today ?

Cool night good, for sleeping, and up early to enjoy the sunrise and hot coffee. A bit of computing , and a walkabout to the clubhouse for 9 am to pick up a monster sized fresh baked cinnamon bun for only $1.25 !  One was enough to share with  Suzie, so very rich and melt in your mouth fresh. Oh and the lady said it was fat free and zero calories as well, she was a senior volunteer rver'r so must have told me the truth right?!
Yep it was awesome
Now to decide our plan of action for the day. First off  to wash our filthy car,  so a short trip to the self serve car wash in Winterhaven CA. for a quick $4.00 wash. Back home and helped our neighbor from British Columbia Canada set up his Shaw/Direct satellite dish for the first time and give him a few pointers. We chatted for a while and everybody was happy.

Then a quick bite for lunch, Suzie and I dusted and vacuumed our coach real well,  and to washed the dust off our rig with a damp cloth and bucket of water. No rv washing here but we can use a bucket. Just puttering around and getting it all sparkly clean again, I was almost done when a couple, stopped by to chat. Noticed our Ontario licence plate and asked where we are from. Well it ends up they are from Thedford Ontario about 10 minutes from our home park Rock Glen Resort , they are semi retired cash crop farmers who spend the winters down south here. Chatted for a long time then time for them to head back home.

By now it's  4 o'clock time for Rick and Suzie to stop by for happy hour. Today we had some crackers, cheese and kielbosa for a little snack and a few beverages. We have had no time to read today! Then before you know it soon time for them to head home and we began throwing together in nice supper as the sun began to set over the sandunes to the west of us.
nice sunset
Tonight is a spaghetti squash with meat sauce and garlic bread. For a nice light and filling supper.
spaghetti squash
We have the electricity so the microwave does a quick job with the squash and I heated up some home made sauce that I took out of the freezer. A little garlic french bread and we had a nice tasty meal!
yummy
Now to wrap up another wonderful warm southern California day. Clothes and vehicles are all clean and ready to head back out into the desert on Monday!
