Wow look at the sunrise this morning, gotta love them here in the desert!
Awesome sunrise again!
Just another day enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. I puttered around with our generator for a while trying to locate the source of a small oil leak it was only barely noticeable because we are parked on the dry desert dirt. I think I found it but not much I can do other than keep an eye on it for now.
Chatted with some neighbors for a while then decided to go soak in the hot pools and chat with a few people that hang out there. The hot pool is almost too hot only about 5 minutes for me but the shallow one is nice for a long soak.
Some more walking about, check tires and pack up our Weber (we are on the road in the morning) and then relax in the shade with our books for a bit. George came over with an oil filter wrench for the generator, to check it for the oil leak and we chatted for a while catching up. Every so often these huge military choppers fly over and are so load you can here them before you see them.
loud choppers
Then we all gather again for our final Happy hour here, a few snacks, chips, crackers, cheese, kielbosa, pickles, veggies, dips and Judy's nice tasty freshly made carrot cake.
we all Happy!
Judy's amazing carrot cake!
While we were winding down happy hour I put a turkey breast we had thawed, in the oven with a couple baked potatoes and peas for a light late supper. Now we have some space in our freezer and some cold turkey for sandwiches, yummy.
yummy Turkey breast
tasty supper
We just got a message from a fellow blogger and new follower (American Traveller) that they are back here at Hot Springs, hopefully we can meet them before we leave here in the morning for Pilot Knob.

great looking day..and excellent looking food there...safe travels....we will be watching for your safe landing at your next destination....that carrot cake sure looked some good...
George, how big is your freezer? It seems to be a never ending source of marvellous meals!! That Turkey looks good! Do you start slowly wending your way home today?
Regular standard freezer 2 door fridge. I usually repackage meats, portions for two, to fit more in. And go to the store every couple days for a few things and by the specials or something that looks interesting.
Looked like a great group of people you were with at the hot springs. Some nice socials you had together. Yesterdays garlic sausage looked good also. I like buying the coil type when in Canada. Can't seem to find a good one down here.
Yes a great bunch of friendly ry'ers, we always have a great time with them. And like you said the garlic sausage is something we love and have not found one we like here.
