 Where are we Today ?

Desert Hot Springs California

        Ok, just another great sunny hot day, sorry but that's what it is. If you have cold, dull and yukky weather can't help you, just come here, that is if you can find us,we are on the road tomorrow. Todays morning coffees, computing and walkabouts is great. A quick trip to the store to stock up, we will be wandering about the desert for the next 8-10 days.

        After puttering around, check tires, fill fresh water tank etc... we sat in the shade to read our books for a while. Jim and Sharon dropped by for a bit of a social and say goodbye before we leave in the morning and have a relaxing libation.

         Then at 3 o'clock we were invited to a Happy Hour (social hour) with neighbors Frank and Georgina ( "Babe" is her nickname same as my grandmother Grace!).  They had hummingbirds all over their campsite.

         This couple is very friendly and have been so informative. We chatted a few days ago when they pulled in from Montana and again at the New Years Eve dance.

        We had lots of snacks and chatted for a couple hours comparing notes and learning from their many years of rving. They have been married 45 years and retired since 1991 Frank is 85 years old (soon 86) and they have been rving forever, still love the rv lifestyle. Wow hope we can still be doing this at that age!

        Once the sun set and it cooled down considerably we said our good byes, and headed home for supper. Tonight its a nice basic frozen thin crust pizza I picked up and added lottsa stuff to make it good and popped in the oven for a wonderful loaded tasty super. Couldn't eat it all ! Cold let over pizza is good to.

        Now a great hot winter day is done, relax for a bit and call it a night.
