Now to check tires and oil before we leave in the morning heading to Suzie's sister Rose and BIL Ross in Tavistock, handy spot for a few more appointments and family get togethers. I then emptied our sewage tanks stored the hoses and put our Weber Q away. Also topped top the water in out coach batteries as well.

More amazing weather that we never get tired of. We are quite happy enjoy it right here in the southwest. Not much left for us to see and explore in this area but that is just fine with the both of us.
This morning after coffees and computing I packed the laundry in the car at 7 am and into the Mainstreet  laundromat. Always a good time to go. Hardly anyone there so let the machines do there magic wash and dry, I folded stuff up and back home by 8:30 this morning, Suzie will put that stuff away for us.
bought me a new shirt today
been over 50 years since I had one like this
just had to have another
sunrise at the laundromat this morning
this the place lotsa machines, very clean and efficient
Back home while Suzie put the laundry away I got a nice walkabout around the area.
loving the scenery here so peaceful
Dome rock not far away
love these baby Saguaros
family gathering
Then I got ambitious  thought I would clean our coach . Last time was in November in New Mexico that I used this waterless  Meguiars Wash wax product and love it does a great job. Especially here in the southwest when we have no rain to get our vehicles dirty.
about an hour later all done and looks like new again
Time for a light lunch , 2 leftover pieces of pizza each reheated in the frying pan sure hit the spot today.
The I wandered over to Tyson Wells to check a couple of vendors out, no crowds now a nice time to go.
This is the way I like it and lotsa parking
Checked out a few things and found my Tye Die t shirt that I wanted for a good price only 7 bucks, I saw them at other vendors for 15 to 20 bucks, nope !
Back home enjoying our e-readers in the shade we had company drop in, our friends Ken and Shirley ( Seeing America with Ken and Shirley)for a short visit. They heading out in the morning and wanted to say see ya later and hopefully on down the road again. They have that hitch itch too, we know what thats like we have it too!
nice to see them again,
until next time guys
glad they stopped by
Right after they left I prepped the 1/2 Turkey (5.5 lbs) I picked up yesterday at the Roadrunner Market for tonights supper on the Weber Q.
ready to go
Now we enjoyed more of our page turners enjoying this amazing desert scenery.
love the views from here
I finished a book and began another , new author will see how this is.
have never read his books before
looks interesting
90 minutes later Turkey done
so time to enjoy supper with a tasty salad
sure hit the spot and lots of leftovers
for soup as well,  some cranberry orange sauce
 I made at Christmas
And as most every day here in the desert another wonderful sunset to enjoy.
A bit later we sat outside reading and working on the blog, a nice mild night at 8 pm still 60 f (15C) not too bad at all. But trying to post this we kept being interrupted with the amazing starry skies and coyotes off in the distance . I know I have said it many times before but this is what we love about the southwest. So now inside to wrap this up and get it posted.
Thanks for stopping by again and hope y'all had a wonderful day as well

Summer is still hanging in and loving it. Finally found a Turkey this morning on sale.

Where are we today ?

A pretty nice night for sleeping  a bit of rain but the windows open with our window awnings down sure was wonderful. Got my coffee done and emails checked then at 8 am I headed into Kitchener in search of Frozen Turkeys on sale. The No Frills in New hamburg were sold out, but had at least 2 stores to check out there. Ok The first one I went to had what I wanted a 16 lb Turkey at .95 cents a lb. Perfect for our Canadian Thanksgiving meal with my 3 kids, spouses and 7 grands on Oct 9th. I said I would cook the turkey and bring gravy and fresh cranberry/orange sauce. So now that is taken care of. Still have to find cranberries but lotsa time for that.
But also while I was in Kitchener around the corner was a Canadian Tire store that I need to stop at. Pick up one new tire for the car , I bought 2 new ones last year and one replaced free under warranty was time for this one now. But like always we had enough Canadian tire points to pay for this tire, so no cost to us. We do like free!
a nice country drive into Kitchener
Back home here before 10 am so Suzie took our Turkey to store in her brother's freezer for a couple of weeks and pick up the little mail that might be there.
A nice light lunch as usual apple, banana, and a small bowl of bean soup did the trick. Then I headed back to hop the mower for about 90 minutes to cut the rear  2.5 acres of the yard here. I will finish the front part tomorrow and will probably be the last time this year for me.
such a perfect warm sunny day up to 82F and not a cloud in the sky
our coach the small white spot  in the middle of this photo
not too bad but need a close cutting
This all done just before 2 pm so now I can relax in the shade with Suzie and get right back into my page turner book The Fix by David Baldacci.
what a perfect late summer day and so peaceful here
we really love it hear.
Now about 4:30 I preheated our Weber Q, whipped up a salad and grilled a Turkey Breast. 35 minutes later done to perfection. Crispy on the outside and so moist and tender. Of course lotsa leftovers and more bones to go into a pot of soup sometime this week, Our freezer is getting full of bones gotta use them up. An we will be outta homemade soup soon.
smells so good cooking here right beside us reading our E-readers
sure did the trick tonight
Such a wonderful relaxing day and now outside enjoying more of this warm weather at 7:30pm still in the mid 70's F , no problem here thats for sure.
Back to enjoying our reading and eventually head on inside for the night.
Thanks once again  for stopping on by and hope y'all had some wonderful weather as well.

Over night cloud cover so it was much warmer last night about 40f  at 5 am much nicer. And the sunrise amazing at 7 am during my first walkabout for a few minutes, again because of the cloud cover.
gotta love the desert skies
Shortly after 8 am I whipped into town for a few supplies, and stopped by the Library. To see if Gerry found it. And sure enough he was in his glory with the free wifi and all the computer terminals there.
Back home to get a few things done here with Suzie, then time for a nice light lunch. And while she had a short nap I headed out for another walkabout enjoying the desert scenery. Got about 3 miles on today.
so many places to explore here
Then a couple hours relaxing with our e-readers under our awning slightly out of the intense sun, Even though it was 60 f feels much warmer and was in shorts and t-shirts for a few hours.
what's not to love about this?
About 3 pm over to Gerry and Melinda's to set up their Weber Q 2000 to grill a 1/2 Turkey we picked up yesterday. We all love Turkey so Gerry thought it would be great that we have a Thursday Dec 1st Thanksgiving Turkey dinner with them Mashed taters, gravy, cooked carrots, cranberry sauce with orange zest (recipe click HERE). Right here in the desert and was a great idea. Ans one dessert as well.
5 lb 1/2 turkey ready to go
