An early night last night we left the campfire about 9 pm back home relaxed a bit and off to bed. A good sleep then about 4 am thunder/ lightning and some heavy rains for a while. Finally got up at 5 am and shortly after the rains stopped and sun came out, warmed things up and dried most of the wetness around us.  I got a nice walkabout the campground about a mile , chatted with a few people.
The campground is pretty well full now for this busy weekend. Tonight the Bon Jovi tribute band will be playing here, starting at 6:30  http://www.bonjoviforever.ca  this is free for members and open to the public $20 so expected it will be very busy here tonight.
they playing here tonight
Later on a few more walkabouts then into town to fill our 2.5 gallon RO jug we use for coffee and cooking the 5 gallon one is still pretty full.
Then Suzie went over to help Barb load books from her Mac Book air to her I-pad. Not much luck so I tried to help for a while because I have the same Mac Book. Frustrating no luck, we cam home for lunch and back again for a while.
Then at 1pm had a some friends wanted to check out our rv and chat about full timing. for a bit. Then they headed down to Bingo, back to Bill and Barbs try some more. Finally gave up about 3 pm "Happy hour" time and they had a few snacks as well.
Suzie and I helping Barb
I did a short walkabout on this perfect hot sunny day 90F lots people in the outdoor pool having fun.
busy pool today
Then back for Happy hour from this spot below to the shade , a bit cooler. Happy hour is fun sharing tips and stories as well as networking .
Networking works, 4 heads are better than one and Ken knows an apple computer and I-pad really well.
Ken and Kim Joined us and Ken on the right
fixed up Barb's computer
Ken and Kim came over so I asked him he also has a Mac Book air and and I-pad. Had a few ideas and in less that 30 minutes got all working, showed Barb how to do it and we are all Happy Campers. Appears the USB port was loose or dirty.
We got back home by 5 pm fired up our Weber Q grilled the last 2 cobs of white corn and some wonderful Farmers' sausage with garlic as well as the rest of out tomato, cucumber onion salad.
this sure hit the spot tonight
Then at 6:30 the band started playing so down to check them out. and will tell you about that in tomorrows posting.
The pics below from last night.
last night's sunset

Gonna go check out the band for a bit, and enjoy them for a while.
Thanks for joining us today and hope you had a wonderful summer day as well.

Coach repairs, decent weather and good friends just kept arriving , wow !

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
A wonderful mostly cloud free night and the stars in the sky this morning were wonderful.
Up early and got coffees and such done. No walkout this morning we have an appointment at RV Lifestyles in Q for 8 am to have a proper drain shutoff put on our fresh water tank, It had broken off last spring when we arrived in Why Arizona to dry camp and had not water! Oops not fun dry camping with no water. So I made a trip in Ago back the, (Olsens IGA and Hardware) got a shut off and made it work. But now it was starting to leak again.
our sunrise at 7am
And while there at Rv Lifetysles I got them to check out our slide seal. They found some issues as we have been getting some water leaks. Yes they can fix it and told them not today. They know the parts to order, and we will give them a call in a couple of weeks. The shutoff valve they replaced and charged us only $10.00 for the valve installed.
these guys are wonderful and very reasonable
From there down the road on Keuhn St at  9am to get 3 stone chips repaired on our coachs' windshield. In no time these were repaired pretty well invisible. And this was free, our insurance covers that no deductible. Good Deal.
they took care of our chips and did a great job
in no time they were done
Then from here headed back to camp, stopped at the dump station to dump our sewage and refill our fresh water tank. And back to camp by 11 am set up again and enjoyed a nice tasty bowl of turkey soup for lunch.
refilling our fresh water tank
Now to enjoy a very nice afternoon enjoying our e-readers outside and noticed a familiar jeep pull in. Heck I know that jeep ! Tom and Deb good friends we spent time with here last year. From the UP in Michigan , and with all the issues they had this fall they finally made it here to the southwest. This was a surprise and nice to hook up with them again.
this is their stinger B can't miss this rig
Then a bit later more good friends arrived, George and Rose. Wow this was a real nice treat. so glad that they came on by.
Tom and Deb just got here
the weather today is going downhill but we made the best of it
A little later more good friends arrived  George and Rose we have not seen for a while either. This calls for a Happy hour with our friends.
lr: Deb. Tom, George Rose and Suzie

we enjoyed a short happy hour and the meeting new friends
that we knew, always fun meeting new people
Then ,,, what the heck!  Bill, Patsy and Rob and Pat arrived even more friends and fellow bloggers. Looks like the gang's all here , almost.
Bill and Patsy pulled in
what a fun welcome we enjoyed
flapping our gums and hugs all around nice to see everyone again
LR Rob, Pat, Stinger B with Deb and Tom, and  Bill and Patsy,
to the right George and Rose
looks like we will have a fun time
But it was after 5 pm and the rain began, so we all headed home and whipped up our suppers. For us tonight some Bush's beans and a couple of hotdogs. I usually heat the beans on our Weber Q but the can was too tall. No problem can heat them up on the stove. But grilled our hot dogs on the Weber Q and heated the buns on foil . This worked for us.
dogs the grill we really enjoy
Now a real treat , hot dogs and beans it has been a while?
Bushes beans and my loaded hot dog,
No sunset to see today with the clouds and drizzly, by we sure had a fun productive day getting things done, and lotsa good friends arriving.
Hey there, glad that y'all dropped on by and hope you enjoyed a wonderful winter day wherever you are.

Foggy start to eventually a nice warm sunny day and more fun with our friends.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another mild night good for sleeping about 48F at 4 am but very foggy. And it stayed foggy for quite a while. My first walkabout at 7 am for a mile or so, then at 9 am I went to Holtville for a few groceries and still very foggy. Even though the sun was high in the sky visibility was limited.
like this for a few hours this morning
the sun is trying to soon burn off the fog
I guess about 10 the fog finally lifted and it warmed up very nicely. By noon it was a comfortable 65 F with a slight breeze. Now this is another wonderful day here to enjoy. Took a nice walkabout around the area for a while and down the road to Ormesa 3, the Geothermal power plant behind this area, An interesting place they have here using the hot water from the ground to create electricity.
a nice walk down this quiet road
this be the entrance
an amazing geothermal plant right here
Back home and enjoyed the warm afternoon sunshine getting right into our e-readers again for a while.
we do enjoy this area as one of our places to stop in our travels
A bit later our good friends, Bill, Patsy, Rob and Pat came to visit more of our friends here. Oscar, Judy, Roland and Lori, just down from us. So we wandered over for a bit to join in the lively conversation,
Patsy taking a group picture
the I took mine
They left about 3 pm (California Time) and we headed home for 30 minutes then back for Happy hour with the rest of this fun group of people. As usual lots of snacks they have here to nibble on. Got to be careful or we won't need supper.
more social time and the conversation flows
sharing tips and fun stories
yes too many snacks, but always tasty
people liked the crackers we had so this
is what they are , very tasty
Home by 4:30 to fire up our Weber Q a grill some chicken drumsticks I picked up the other other day, 6 is too many , but they only cost 2 bucks, so may as well cook them anyway , more leftovers for snacks and lunches.
this is the rub we like
got in Texas
we stocked up
As I was grilling the chicken on our grill mat I whipped up a salad and managed to catch a few nice nice sunset pictures just before it went away .
By 5:30 these were done to perfection, and we enjoyed as much as we wanted. Like I said more leftovers.
a good deal for 2 bucks
that was our feast for tonight
Dishes done, garbage gone, blog posted and we can veg in front of the tube for a bit before calling it a night after another wonderful warm winter day in the sun. This is the kind of winter weather we love.
Thanks again for dropping on by.

Another great southwest desert day, meeting up with good friends and enjoying this weather

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
What the heck after a wonderful sleep last night we were both out of bed at 5 am. Think our bodies are still on Ontario time. No problem for us, we made the most of today for sure. Got our computing done early coffees consumed , and when the sun came up we can enjoy this wonderful dry Arizona weather in the sunshine. Before I headed out I put the chicken bones from last nights chicken on to boil and make a wonderful chicken broth for some soup. Let that go for a couple of hours and smell wonderful inside our house.
My first walkabout around the park at 7 am netted 1.5 miles and a very nice sunrise. Eventually got 4 miles done by the end of the day.
love this desert sunrises
Back home to make the rest of my soup and let it simmer some more to make it all together and very tasty.
In the meantime we had a local fellow handy man (Jesus) drop by to look at my recliner and check it out, He may have parts to fix it very  reasonable he checked his inventory but never got back to us, Guess he did not have the cable we needed.
Then we went to office to exchange a couple of DVD movies we have watched and came home with 2 more one actually has 8 action movies that I am sure we will enjoy.
Soup done and time for a tasty lunch, that we both enjoyed,
yes this was tasty and enough for a couple more lunches
Got a text from a very nice couple we met here in the southwest almost 10 years ago in the Imperial Sand Dunes and keep in touch with over the years. Have camped with them a few times as well having fun and touring the dunes with them. They live close in Sierra Vista not far from here and dropped by for a wonderful visit and catchup. So nice to see them again it has been a couple of years.
Jennifer and Harry
After they left and lunch I took a nice drive down a few back roads just checking out the scenery. Love this area and so much more of the southwest.
the Whetstone mountains and an interesting backroad
Back home we can now relax outside and enjoy our page turners, temperature about 75f but a cool east wind and cloud cover. Too hot for long pants and too cool for shorts. So we managed the long pants and being too hot but sure beats the cold, weather back home.
not much hot sun today and no visible sunset
Soon time for supper so I whipped up a salad, hooked up out camp stove and pan fried a couple of catfish fillets.  I got the oil a bit too hot but they cooked very nicely, almost blackened but they tasted wonderful and not burnt.
this camp stove sure comes in handy at times
have had it over 40 years
Nothing like a good catfish feed and a salad
Now the day just flew on by, weather wonderful, so nice to see our friends again , enjoy this great southwest weather and have a wonderful relaxing afternoon and a tasty super. Does it get much better? Think not.
Thanks again for joining our lifestyle, glad to have you along.
