Another good nights sleep and up about 5:30 this morning 52F outside,  Just puttering around computing for a while then into Starthroy to pick up and HDMI cable to hook up Suzie's computer to our smart tv. Hooked that up and is it ever nice and can now view here computer on our 32 inch TV, That sure makes a wonderful computer monitor!
Back home Suzie was chatting with new Neighbours Mark and Nichol . They are picking our brains (the little we have) about going fulltime and travelling in the south and membership parks. Has some questions about their shaw satellite dish, how to light the propane oven in their trailer etc....
After lunch I headed down to the amazing fitness centre for a nice one hour work out. My finger is now almost like new again and ready for this much needed exercise. Then to relax out side on the wonderful very warm fall day. Sunny and a comfortable fall day at 75F back in shorts again , enjoying our page turners in the shade, sure was nice no complaints here..
love this amazing fitness centre here included with our membership
So quiet here  after the weekend, Our freinds Rob and Pat left early and later on Paul and Judy headed out as well. Will see this guys later this year or on down the road some where.
Love it when the campground is so quiet
After lunch I filled our 5 gallon jug of RO (reverse osmosis purified water) we use for drinking and making our coffees. At the corner store in town, this is the only water we drink for the last 13 plus years.
we have a spot inside with a pump
to fill our jug for the fridge
a perfect warm fall day, short were the dress code today
even hotter tomorrow
After a quiet Happy hour, just the 2 of us we chatted for a while then, a bit later time to whip up supper, tonight a couple of shrimp burgers on English muffins with some seafood sauce I make so easy, ketchup, horseradish and lemon juice. perfect.
not long these shrimp burgers are done
 english muffins warm in foil

Another amazing very warm fall day outside, chatting with neighbours and a quiet happy hour enjoying our page turners.

Wow what a change in the overnight temperature got up at 4:30 this morning and 42f outside(68 F yesterday morning at this time), No problem just fired up our Blue Flame and in no time a comfortable 72 inside. Nice that sun rises so early and can get out for a nice walkabouts and no wild animal attacks this morning too, a real  bonus!
First time we went outside noticed a bunch of the ducks had camped out right beside us looks like they spent the night here.
our own duck family right here
We decided this morning to take drive down to Ocean Springs and check out the  harbour on our way to Biloxi. Only about 4 miles away. Suzie spotted a Saturday morning outside market, so a quick trip around the block. Parked the car and wandered over to check it out . We do enjoy local markets never know what we will find.
This was nice local market with some inserting finds.
cool but at least a sunny day
Lots of interesting things to check out.
we just had to try these Shrimp Corn Dogs,
these were excellent, very tasty
A few more interesting things to check out but nothing more we wanted, or needed. Shrimp corn doges for breakfast did the trick.
nice looking fresh produce  too
egg rolls looked good but we abstained
the original TIN MAN?
a bottle tree?
a nice local market the kind we enjoy
Now heading through Ocean Springs to the gulf and  the harbour. Love the drive past the older buildings and the roads covered with these amazing live oak trees, so mysterious looking.
looking like New Orleans influence
the streets covered with live oak trees love them
down by the gulf new homes rebuilt  on stilts
now ready for the next hurricane
nice new piers
the bridge over Biloxi Bay
Down by the harbours lots of shrimp boats selling fresh shrimp, but we have no fridge room for more and we have another plan.
wish we were here longer
another  time
lots of wonderful yachts here as well
We did a lot more today but will leave that for tomorrows posting, we headed up back home by 1 pm for a light lunch and relaxed out side on this wonderful sunny day only 60F but very comfortable in the sun. Got to read for a while putter around a couple of walkabouts enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.
a pretty decent day , not for shorts but
 the sunshine was welcome
these ducks are everywhere here
gotta love the warm sunshine
more ducks
Soon time for supper, tonight gonna fry some catfish fillets we love and fresh cut fries all done in our Fry Daddy, Fries done first then the fish.
we like this breading for our fish
nice fresh catfish never frozen
perfect
keeping our fries warm on the Weber Q
while I fry the fish
not long for the fish was excellent
fish done too
some fresh lemon, mixed veggies was wonderful
That was our fun day and another fix of fresh catfish that we love. Warm and sunny just a bit cooler than we like. Heck much nicer that back home though.
Want to thank y'all for dropping in today and hope you enjoyed your day with us.

Where have we been this Winter?

Awesome history in the area, it is so amazing to experience.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Now this was a busy day we had  yesterday and another busy one today Had a great sleep last night and up early as usual. 4:30 am I think it was, We want to see more things again and get some issues taken care of.
After the sun came up and we consumed some coffees got  a nice walkabout  this resort for a mile or so about 7:30 am. Still much cooler today but sunny only 42f.
a nice sunrise here this morning
a nice beach volleyball court here
children's playground
nice pavilion
huge pool, closed for the season
Lots of nice rental cabins here named after many famous people from here.
Now about 8:30 this morning we headed to the Gettysburg Visitor centre to begin our day. Pretty well everything starts from here.
this be the place and it is huge!
We bought tickets for the Museum, film and the Cyclorama just after 9 am . and the lady said maybe we should do the 10:15 film. A couple of busses of school kids just came in first. OK!!! we can wait. That would be good so we did the museum first for an hour, then the film and Cyclorama. This cost us $14.00 each for seniors and worth every penny, What an amazing experience. The museum is endless and so much information about the history here and about the civil war. We would have never known about.
So the first hour we toured the museum and did not even get to see it all before time for the film,
soldiers in uniform
amazing statistics
these canons are everywhere around this area
Now the Cyclorama  was so amazing to see after the film, This was painted in the early 1880s as you can see below.
What a sight to see and experience. it was truly awesome! These pictures do not do it justice at all.
After 2 hours here we decided to take the self driving tour that is free. Using the map provided we headed on out . No point me taking a guided narrated tour for a lot of money when I will not hear or understand  the narration anyway.
Follow the marked route and the map we enjoyed some amazing scenery for another hour or so then headed home for a light lunch.
interesting home here in town reminds us of New Orleans
The drive and monuments are well marked and if we stopped at every single one we could spend a couple of days here. But not being history buffs at all ( I failed History in High School) we did enjoy this amazing part of American history that we never knew about.
We decided to stop half way  seeing as we are very close to home and enjoy lunch here. Plus we had other issues to take care of. Just before we got to this campground our coach had developed a very distinct vibration, when accelerating. Think maybe a universal joint, So I found an rv shop close by and went to to talk to them. We agreed to take our coach in there first thing (tomorrow) Thursday morning for 8 am and they will take care of it we hope, or they will try. The needs to be taken car of.
it was a nice afternoon reading enjoying the sunshine
So back home Suzie had her shower, we enjoyed some outside reading in the warm sunshine for a while (happy hour), Topped up our fresh water, Dumped our sewage tanks.
Then grilled a couple of boneless pork chops on our grill mat to go a with a tasty salad.
this was very tatsy
Then store our water and sewage hoses, as well as the Weber Q so we don''t have worry about that in an early cold morning.
Oh we did more this afternoon , will save that until tomorrow.
hey we even got to see a nice almost full moon tonight as well
That was fun day we enjoyed and hope to explore a bit more tomorrow, see the rest of the battlefields that we missed will see how the repairs go.
Glad that y'all dropped by for a peek and hope you had a great day as well.
