THIS IS FRIDAY"S POSTING

         What and wonderful warm day. Clear blue skies, sunny and warm , a perfect fall day. I did get a few nice walkabouts the park enjoying the early morning quiet and the colors of the leaves here, seems to be brighter and more than back home.
         By 9 am the temperature about 70f  (21c) with only a very light breeze, so it was shorts for pretty much the rest of the day for me.

       As I was walking about noticed the campground is getting pretty full and a lot of people have done some wonderful Halloween decorations on their sites. Below is just a sample I saw on one walkabout.

     The fall colors warm weather and sunshine has everyone in good spirits for all the activities going on  especially tomorrow.

       It was so nice to relax outside and enjoy our e-readers. I finished another page turner James Patterson and began another Stuart Woods which are always exciting as well.

     Then shortly after 3 pm I prepped this almost 6 lb chicken I picked up yesterday for a very good  price, and if you know us we love our chicken.

      After supper and dishes done we wandered over to Bill and Barbs to join them at their campfire. A perfect mild evening for it.

         That was our Friday here first full day in the states, enjoying this wonderful weather on the energy filled Halloween weekend here at this campground. This is the nicest weather we have had for this weekend in many years that we have been joining our friends here for this fun time.

Where have we been this summer ?

Another warm sunny day, haircut done and swordfish fillets for supper,

      More amazing weather again today and yup we will enjoy it while we can! Got a few nice walkabouts done nice and early enjoying this weather, what's not to love about it ?

            Was looking for tuna fillets the other day and had no luck but came across some swordfish fillets, so lets give them a try. Very mild light fish and tender if not overcooked. Almost like a very tender steak !

           After a nice light lunch I made a quick trip up the road to Juicy Fruit Orchards , to get another bag of honey crisp apples and 7 pumpkins for the grands to decorate when we see them for Thanksgiving.

          Got some quality reading time done in the shade, after I had a nice hot shower and trimmed my hair and beard (Suzie does my trimming), Now me looking almost human again !

         Just after 3 pm Tucker once again dragged Gerry here for Happy hour. Probably our last one of the season. Supposed to rain tomorrow afternoon and we leave here Thursday morning.

       Tonight for supper we gonna check out these swordfish steaks, They look amazing.

           With this wonderful day we had up to 86f (30 C) no complaints here at all, Gonna cool down again but heck, sure beats what we could have had. See it is 8 pm still outside, posting this blog and enjoying our e-readers , listening to the crickets and loving this still very warm evening, one of the last evenings that we can do this for quite a while.

Where have we been this summer ?

Relocating and enjoying more of this heat wave we are having.

last time here at "Camp Awesome" until the spring 

     As usual up early 5 am got some computing and coffees, done, exercises for my back and actually feel pretty good , Back and leg doing well and got a nice walkabout around 7 am. At 7:30 we secured the coach and down the street to Pettigrew's Garage, Dale gets our coach all set for the winter, Lube oil, filter, check everything out and changed the oil and filter on our generator as well.      
     After he was done we hooked up the car and headed down the back roads to Rock Glen Resort, our home membership park where we get full hookups and no overnight fees. Yup we make good use of this system that is for sure.

       We pulled into Rock Glen resort at 11 am check in and set up on our favourite site and had lunch by 12. noon.

again a perfect late day here still pretty warm only got to
92 f (33C) 

      Got my exercises and ice packs done for my leg and back now really feel amazing about 95% pain free and I can do my walkabouts again. Yahoo !

      Got to enjoy our e-readers in the shade for a while, our friend Ron stopped by for a chin wag nice to see him again.

         About 4:30  turned on our Air conditioner for a bit (Suzie's request) inside about 94 f so is now nice and comfy inside for her.
        Me, I whipped up our salad and grilled couple of Turkey Garlic sausage on our Weber Q 100 to go with it.

      After supper outside to relax and enjoy this amazing warm weather still with us. Our friend Paul stopped by to chat for a bit, I finished posting this blog, Read a bit more then head on inside to join Suzie in front of the tube.

What another great we had a few more to come.

      Just another great day in the forecast.And I started off feeling awesome, until I did a short walkabout down the road. Hmm lower back and leg pain came back, Not fun, It was going great last night?

        My walkabout but the leg and back pain returned . So I tried the ice and exercises and no luck. Up to New Hamburg to pick a a couple of prescriptions and home for lunch. Hmm not better. So called my Chiropractor in there at 2:20pm.
      Whipped up a light lunch for us, and headed to Cambridge to pick a new CB, our old 18 year old one finally bit the dust and we do like it when on the road, gives us local weather plus the traffic updates from the truckers , they actually still use these.
        Chiropractor did some more adjustments and I feel better again. I am doing all the right things, Ice, exercise, advil and Dr . Ho massage. It will get better in time as I know.
        Finally home by 3 pm, relax in the shade with Suzie, enjoy our e-readers, and a happy hour, in the shade. Not as hot as yesterday only 97 f (35 C ) this afternoon, no A/c need today. A nice light breeze in the shade sure feels nice.

       Soon  time for supper so I quartered an acorn (pepper) squash added some brown sugar and wrapped in foil to set on our Weber Q along with six chicken drumsticks I bought on special today, a dozen for 4 bucks, can't turn down a deal like that !

       A bout 45 minutes later chicken and squash are done to perfection, yup we do love our chicken.

       Now here it is almost 8 pm outside finish this posting and enjoy our e-readers for a while. Then will soon call it a night. Head out in the morning for service on our coach at Pettigrew's Garage in town for 8 am and back to Rock Glen resort for a week or so. Gotta keep on moving because that's what we do.

Where have we been this summer ?

Back is getting better, weather getting hotter, we enjoying it while it lasts. And SNOW!

Where are we today ?

       What an awesome night we had, bedroom windows open, fantastic fan running and we both slept like a log. As usual up early got the coffee and stuff done took the garbage out and hopped in the car at 7:30 am to head to my Chiropractor in Waterloo DR. Sean Delange he took over from my previous Chiropractor Bruce Wand after I had seen him for over 34 years.  Sean is amazing using all the new techniques. I  needed to allow some extra time for rush hour traffic especially around the University of Waterloo. Sean did some major adjustments on my back and mentioned that there is some bursitis  in my right hip. So I have a few exercises and will put ice on it  for 10 minutes avery few hours. As of 6 pm I feel much better already at least I can get up and walk around with very little pain. And the rest of my back is all tuned up. Almost brand new again! Thanks Sean !

7:30 am a nice morning sunrise on my way.

       Before I left I added all the veggies and spices to the large pot of chicken broth I made last night and just let it simmer for a couple hours, Suzie home here to keep and eye on it anyway.
       Home by 9:30 and finished off the soup for an early lunch. And of course lotsa leftovers for a few more lunches.

     Got lunch  done then I headed into New Hamburg for another follow up eye exam at 11:50 am. 3rd one this year, a few adjustments were made and he noticed I may have the beginnings of cataracts , Not to worry for a few more years, (oh the joys of getting older). At least this is all paid for by our government health care.

        Now it is back home and relax with our e-readers and some ice packs on my hip every once in a while . The temperature did get to 95F (35C) but not too bad here at all in the shade with still a very nice light breeze. You know it is nice out when Suzie is wearing shorts!

        A bit later to the Hardware store in town to fill our jug of RO purified water. And saw some snow ! Ok not really snow but from the arena when they clean the ice and dump it outside, It sure is melting pretty fast in this hot weather.

        Now because we can, having a craving supper tonight, Hot dogs and homemade french fries, We have the Fry Daddy so why not? A rare occasion any more but a nice treat.

      Of course our dogs are loaded, mayo, tomato, onions, mustard, relish and peanut butter, Suzie chooses cheese whiz over peanut butter, they did the trick, with a few fries.

     Now that was an amazing first day of fall, Heck I thought it was yesterday. This is the weather we can enjoy, for some people too hot, No need for  air conditioning when we can enjoy this shade outside, plus not enough power for the A/C anyway.

      Here we are still outside shorts and sandals after 7:50 pm in the shade enjoying our reading and posting this blog. Gotta read our here a bit more listening to the cricket symphony. Still wonderfully warm too and no bugs!
