A hot sunny day and a wonderful visit with fellow Rv'ers and Bloggers.

Where are we today ?
A bright sunny morning with wonderful warm summer temperatures. Nice walkabouts the campground over the sand dunes and along the beach. A perfect day for it.
morning sun on the beach at 8 am
57 miles across the lake to Ohio
walkway over the dunes to the campground
road beside the dunes
losta fish to be caught here in Lake Erie
boat launch ramp
Took a new header picture today to replace the older one from 2006 same place 7 years later.

A quiet morning walk on the beach before it gets too hot.
walking along the beach in the warm water
We had a lovely afternoon enjoying this amazing weather and just relaxing in the shade at or site enjoying our books until 3:30. Then hopped in the car and headed on over to visit with Ron and Sharon  a super couple we met in Willis Texas, Ashdown Arkansas and Rock Glen resort in Arkona this past spring they do post a blog occasionally and you can check them out HERE The Princess and the Cowboy. They have a seasonal site close to Long Point and spend most of the winter in south Texas.
Ron and Sharon
We got the full tour of their amazing site, so much to see here and all of Sharon's hobbies to display. They picked up a but of bowls balls last winter and she had done an amazing job decorating them for the garden.
Also glass bowls and dishes she pick up at yard sales
and creates flower displays, so amazing.

bowling ball

mushrooms from glass bowls etc.
then we have Ron's "Man Cave"
workshop/storage shed
water trough for your horse
miniature golf course
nice outdoor living room too
We had been invited for a  "Weber" moment at their place, to catch up and tell lies around the campfire. So thats what we did. Only Ron did the cooking and I got to watch, bonus!
fire up his Weber Q 120
fresh Ontario Candy Corn on the campfire
Tender fall of the bone pork ribs and baked taters
Sharon added some baked beans she whipped up
Well I am telling you it was very tasty supper that we thoroughly enjoyed and to finish off with a very light moist pineapple angel food cake. Boy did they spoil us!
this desert was beyond words, sorry Rick no leftovers
Now rolled away from the table and enjoyed telling even more lies around this colorful campfire that made with his "magic" wood.
Well its getting dark and almost past my bedtime. We had a fun visit and great meal with great new friends, but need to call it a night.
Glad you stopped by and hope you can drop by again soon.

  1. With all that food, to see your girth pretty much the same between the two header pictures, I have to say, hats off!
Must be the walks in the morning.
Either that or you just look at the food, take a picture, but then don't eat it!
