Cool August day and a nice visit.

Where are we today ?
Great weather for sleeping but sure feels like fall, overcast and temps never got above 54f (12c), too chilly for my liking.
Ran a few errands this morning then over to Dennis and Sandy's with Suzie's Mom and Dad, to discuss how Gramma is doing (she doing pretty good). A also discuss a few things that need to be done for when her Dad goes in for his hip replacement near the end of the month.
Back home for a bite to eat, Suzie played in the garden for a bit and with the dogs.
And I puttered around here, filled our fresh water tank and drilled a tiny hole in our new hand soap pump bottle. I have shown this before, what it does is equalizes the pressure and this soap does not drip out the spout when you move the rv or when it is just sitting on the counter. No more messy cupboards or countertops, have been doing this for years and works great.
I used a 1/16 in bit
no more soap messes
Then we attempted to sit outside and enjoy our books. But after a while we found it was just too cold, our bare hands were cold and not really comfortable, even with sweaters, sweat pants and socks on. What happened to summer? Just sat inside for a bit to read then headed off to visit daughter number 2 and two grandsons for a very tasty supper that she whipped up. No Weber cooking for me tonight, burgers, salads and roasted potato wedges.
so tasty
Suzie got another animal fix with their 4 dogs and two cats
Had a very nice visit and chat catching up then wandered on back home to call it a night.
Thank y'all for stopping on by and hope it was not too cool for you today. Better than winter but too cool for August.

  3. Great tip on the hand soap dispenser. I would never have thought of that. Love learning all these neat things from the pro rv'ers. Thanks.

  6. This keeps up, and you guys will be pining for the South a bit too soon I'd think? What's it, 189 days? Wouldn't want to be forced back in the middle of Winter.
Good sleeping weather though. Man oh man. Just too bad we had to be up so danged early is all.

  7. I cannot believe it is Aug. 14 and we are having this type of weather. Ohio has had a bad summer. So much rain and cool temps. I can't remember the last time summer was this bad. Hopefully, it doesn't predicte what type of winter Canton is in for. We are out of here Aug. 31. Good luck Ohiol

  8. Nice trick on the soap - now, if a 1/16" bit works great, wouldn't a 3/8" bit work even better????
