Visit Ma, visit Gramma and a change of plans, love it!

Where are we today ?
After great nights sleep, morning coffees and a walkabout at "camp awesome" here in Plattsville.
this morning we had wonderful sunrise
Then headed into Waterloo to have lunch with my ma. She ordered in a very tasty assortment of Chinese takeout and we had a great visit with her, thanks so much Ma!
Then off to the hospital to visit Suzie's gramma (98 yrs old) recovering from an emergency operation last thursday for a twisted bowl. She is back on a regular floor sitting in her chair, no pain, feeling great and looking just amazing. Talking up a storm and in really good spirits. Her hair was cut a while ago and I told her she looks about 40 years old with a high ponytail!
Then by late afternoon we got home and let the dogs out for a visit, they really enjoy our company here at "Camp Awesome".
We read our books for a while, then I puttered around for a bit while Suzie took them for a run outback.
they sure like to run
Buddy is the big dog and his Mom is the smaller one Molly
Then tonight thought we would have a light supper tonight after a tasty chinese lunch with ma. So fired up our Weber Q grilled some bacon and a couple grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon really hit the spot.
perfect light meal
We always have tentative plans about where we might be going. But rver's plans are written in chalk (or jello). We had planned to leave here tomorrow, Tuesday (Aug, 13th) and head up to our Coast to Coast home Park near Buckhorn for a couple weeks. But after discussing this for about 2 minutes this morning we decided to cancel that and hang out here for a few more days, relax, dog sit and visit daughter number 2 and the grands, then go visit good friends of ours we have not seen for a couple years, near Norwich.
Then we will take in a couple  of Ontario Provincial Parks on Lake Erie for a few days, places we used to head to and really enjoyed. We have not been to them really since we went fulltime back in 2006 mainly because they are so expensive, but what the heck save some fuel and spend it on campsites.  No reservations, just wing it, get what we get, a do what we used to do. Maybe get a campsite maybe not, no problem we can always find a spot for the night somewhere, we have the freedom to do it.
That was our fun for today, as rv'ers we love to explore the unknown when we can, so looking forward to another adventure, seeing more places and more faces. This is why we love this lifestyle.
Glad you could stop by for a peek and hope y'all come back again soon.

    1. They thanks me for the write ups, but thats about it.
But I do enjoy cooking everything that I can on our Weber, such a versatile grill, the best I have ever owned.

  5. Our plans are written in chalk most of the time. Other times it's with Jell-O because they jiggle and we have no idea where to head next. That's what's happening as I write this too.

Your camping trip to the lake sounds like it should be fun.

  8. Sounds like your new plans will be a vacation from your vacation. I think it's a great idea to go visit where you use to go and enjoyed it so much. Nice to do something different.
