Where are we today ?
Well we have been here at Glen Rose Texas for a week, a very nice place but time to move on and explore another membership park Sun Country Resort in Whitney Texas its nice to camp with no overnight fees, really helps the budget. Just a nice scenic country drive of a little over an hour, 51 miles today.
We had been here in 4 years ago and were not impressed at that time. This place was very tired and run down and we said we would never return. But they have been taken over by a new company just recently and the improvements are happening very quickly. Still in the growing stages but what a big difference, friendly staff, and the campground is really getting cleaned up, we will be back again for sure now.

All set up on a huge site before lunch, then after a bite to eat off to the hardware store for some nuts, bolts and washers. Putting away our satellite dish this morning, rivets on the tripod broke so two choices, either fix it or get a new tripod. Well I think the 'fix it" is much less expensive a good chance to repair it with stronger parts.

So with new bolts, washers and nylock nuts in hand I drilled out the worn and broken rivets, straightened the brackets and a few minutes later we are good to go dish is set up again. An easy fix for less than two bucks. Better than fifty bucks for a new one.

Well before w know time for supper again, and what to have? Hmm let see a nice huge thick smoked pork chop was found in our freezer, big enough that we can share it. So just fire up the grill, boil some potatoes and mixed veggies we have a nice tasty meal.
That chore and dishes out of the way, we can relax outside a bit more on a nice warm evening with our books until its too dark to read any more. Then a bit of tv to wind up another get Texas day.
